Quick repair, unfortunately didn't solve the problem.
Car misfired again and stopped on the highway just after I left the garage. In my opinion poor diagnostic.

Brought in the car for the NCT check, they did extensive and accurate job (reflected in the cost), but nonetheless failed the inspection, because of a part which was covered in their service.
Brought in the car again, and somehow arranged the get the issue fixed, but failed again for the same reason.
I was told the fix was temporary The bill was definitely not temporary.
