Warm friendly atmosphere. Staff very welcoming. In center of city. No need for public transport. I would stay here again.
Excellent location in Galway. The rooms are comfortable and cozy. The breakfast is very good. Buffet breakfast (fruit, cereals, Irish breakfast, eggs, different breads, bakery products)
Very handy location. Rooms are fine. Bar food is not too bad at all and the late barman Liam was fantastic. Would offer him a Jon if he ever came to Dublin.
I will say that the staff is nice, and the rooms are clean. This is the worst place for noise. I write this review after being awakened at 5am with very, very loud kegs being banged around on the street directly outside of our window to re-stock the bars. Last night we got the pleasure of hearing drunk patrons arguing in the street. It's now 6:40am, and there is still no hope of sleep. I'm not talking about some light noises here, I'm talking steel drums bouncing on concrete levels of noise. When my husband went downstairs, there were more people down in the lobby who said the other side of the hotel is even worse, because the train blows it's horn every time it goes by. You may say this is not the fault of a hotel, but there are other hotels that aren't in such a bad location.
Free Wi-Fi, comfy cosy hotel in the heart of the city. Brilliant
Great place for location but hotel smells of food everywhere and the rooms are quite dated
Unfortunately they were undergoing some renovations thus food was not available. Had some Guiness and a shot of Cuban Rum. Bartenders Liam Fox and Pavel were intelligent, attentive and very professional. My wife wanted a Vodka Sour, not the type of drink you'd normally order in a Pub/Bar in
Watched a match in the hotel bar.
Very spacious area and the staff were very accommodating.
Large dining space downstairs.
Very central location.
The restaurant was awesome. We had great food and a friendly staff in an oddly-shaped, two-level room that seems part restaurant, part bar, and part ice cream shop.
Was disappointed in the hotel's wifi and parking is a joke. They say you get a discounted parking rate at certain car parks, then have to go searching for an attendant in the morning. Just validate the parking pass so the machine can give me the reduced rate.
Also with the windows were upgraded as the street noise was bothersome all night. I guess that's what you get when you want to stay near city center. The room was pretty great though; good size with a great ensuite. Maintenance could be better as our radiator never worked and there were two ,lights out that were never replaced. There were lots of windows, however.
Stayed two nights for business, Newly refurbished rooms and toilets, big tv and reading lights in the room, enjoyed the comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Tea and Coffee making facility was very useful. This place have a very cosy bar with Wooden finishings, great food selections as well, big screens to watch sports.
Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff very helpful. Big projector screen to view the game. Sound was a little off the picture so you could hear what was happening before it happened. Nice location.
Great location. Single room I was in, the toilet didn't flush the first two tries as in the handle was faulty. Basic accomodation in need of updates or at least some maintenance in the rooms. Clean, safe and decent price.
Great Hotel. Seemed to be very old. Clean rooms and courteous staff. Perfect place to stay if visiting Galway. The city square is directly across the street and the nightlife/ shops are within walking distance.
