Very nice and helpful staff on Reception. Very clean rooms with great room service. Never ever visit the Bar. Very slow service and very unprofessional staff which even don't have a clue what exactly the Customers ordered. The Manager there( His name is Woicheck) was very rude and try to convince Us that all in fact is our mistake after 30 min waiting time to take our order instead to apologize and show some respect to People which in fact paid his wages. No any idea why this lovely Place hire a this kind of unpleasant Person. I gave a 2 stars only because Staff on Reception was extremely polite and for Our staying this 3 nights the Breakfast was really good. We probably Never back again....

This beautiful hotel with its old world charm and fabulous views is a gem. The staff in particular are a credit to this hotel, especially the girls in the cafe . Their friendly efficient manner and even though we had a group of 15 hungry people all wanting lunch at the one time and the cafe busy nothing was too much trouble. They still had time to make each person feel special and all our group commented and complimented on the great service. I can't recommended this hotel enough and look forward to my next visit

Lost my booking. Staff was good about getting me a room though. Rooms were clean but tired. Room was not made up the next day. Bar staff painfully slow. Pint of Guinness was decent. Location fabulous. Pool was nice. Breakfast was ok but inefficient.

Very friendly. Very clean. Very professional staff. The location is gorgeous on the bay. But it's made better by how nice and friendly the staff and the town's people are. Made my first trip so enjoyable I know I will be coming back.

Very good hotel had a nice short break very good facilities excellent dining. We had to one great nights sleep and unfortunately the second night was interuped by the revellers at a wedding that was in the hotel and their access for smoking was at the side of the hotel near our room. So we really could have spent the night at the wedding.

The Galway Bay Hotel is one of the top of the range Hotel's in Galway and its location is one of the best.

Overlooking Galway Bay itself, one can see the hills of Co. Clare across the Bay.
With the variable weather conditions we get on the west coast of Ireland, one can see the hills of Clare changing colours with the mixture of cloud and sunshine, from the viewing deck of the Hotel.

Looking at the Bay itself, one can see the sea water changing colours under the same conditions.
It is a view that one could spend hours of their leisure time without once getting tired of it while at the same time one can see all the ships passing as they make their way into the Galway Docks.
The Bay is also graced with swimmers, smaller boats and crafts of all descriptions as the sea birds hoover around overhead as they also do around the Galway Bay Hotel itself as they catch the air currants coming in from the great Atlantic Ocean.

Food and accommodation is well above par but the price of same would not be within the range of the average working man except on occasion.

    Well worth a visit.

Wonderful front desk staff! Very friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was overlooking the courtyard and had a partial ocean view from one of the side rooms (pictures below). The furniture was a bit old and worn, but everything worked correctly and the room was very clean. Handy for the Salthill neighborhood and beach area and not too far from downtown Galway. (30 min walk or 10 min drive depending on how busy it is.)

Lovely hotel looking out at the sea. I was here for a work event and stayed 2 nights. The rooms are very comfortable, food is really good too. The only negative is that the restaurant really does need a bit of updating. The decor in my opinion is quite dated and really drags the atmosphere down. It certainly doesn't match the quality of the food which was amazing. Really nice wine too. Staff are very helpful and apart from the small negative re the restaurant I can't fault this place

This is a great hotel something for everybody. There is a lovely feeling when you walk in the door is just beautiful. Great food breakfast is top quality good choice you even get a pot of coffee not just a cup,I didn't have any lunch so you will have to find out for your self but the dinner was just so good the menu was short and sweet and they have good kids menu if you have kids with you.
Ask for Bridie for your waitress she great. The rooms a very comfy. If your older or younger you will be made feel welcome.
