Great pub near the Westbury Hotel. Spacious and a bit loud. Pints are good value compared to others within vicinity. Excellent after-work pub to start your session off right.

It might be an Ok place during the day, I don't know. This review is based on what it's like on a weekend night. On the ground floor it was jammed packed with people. There was hardly room to turn on your heel.
However, the worst thing was the attitude of the staff. None of them were particularly friendly. But I found one of the barmen in particular extremely arrogant. At one point It took me an hour to get served with a Guinness. The reason being he passed me over twice for not saying "please" before I finally realised what was going on. and he did it all with a smirk.
Of course you should always say please and thank you, but to keep a customer waiting that long without telling them why, just to make a point, is completely unnecessary and unprofessional.
I was there with two friends who were visiting from abroad neither of whom I'd seen in 2 years. The experience was humiliating. To see others who I was at the bar ahead of, getting served before me! And it really marred my night because I lost that time with my friends. I haven't been back to Bruxelles since and I don't intend to. Ever.response / report this review -

I absolutely adore this pub. My go to if I'm.drinking with mates in town. I love the basement bit with the little alcove Philomena's. Amazing for groups and great staff

Great cafe bar, enjoyed sitting outside one afternoon, rock club in basement playing heavy rock and metal. Really liked the music but not the sliding beer prices👎👎👎. Good night though, definitely call here again next time I'm in Dublin.

Traditional Irish Pub with great ambience. However, I was looking for q different kind of place. If you are under 30 years old, I will suggest you visiting other different places. It worth a visit if you are travelling to Dublin for a short period. Cheers!

This place is always worth going to. I'm never disappointed! Bar staff are great and atmosphere is friendly, fun and relaxed. Music is the best around :) thanks!

Great pub to drop into when u get fed shopping. Attracts a lot of tourists but if you wait about you will get a seat in a short time. Has several different areas to cater for different tastes. Foods good, atmosphere friendly especially during the day and afternoon. Gets busy and loud at night.
Has statue of Phil Lynott outside where fans lay flowers and musicians leave guitar plectrums. A nice tradition and tribute to a great man.response / report this review -

Setting was ok, but it was filled with drunk people (the same lady literally spilled two shots in a row she was so drunk, and an old dude and woman were liking making out with each other and a like 18 year old at a table) and the bartender was literally the only rude person I met in Ireland. The other attached bars are much better, so I'd skip Bruxelles and go to one of them (we moved to Rock Bar down below).

I am going to this pub many years now. On Saturday I went with my friend and my friend asked for 2 Jack&Coke. They have a promotion for this drink and it's 5€. When my friend asked for this drink the bar staff asked my friend if he wants with a dash of coke or bottle. They didn't explain him the difference and they charged him for 18.2 instead of 10. When I talked with the manager she explained me that it was my friends fault and not theirs. I tried to explain her as a person that worked in a bar for many years that this was wrong because they have to explain the difference(that is almost double the price). She said that Americans are coming and they ask for bottle instead of dash. I find this behavior very unprofessional and the bar staff must ALWAYS inform the customers about the offers etc.

Used to be a great Biker bar downstairs but it's not great anymore since renovations. Good smoking/drinking area outside. Okay music. Good for a date or a meet up with friends with the city center.
