Very chill spot with lots of green scenery. It's a school and school kids run and work the resort. It's a unique accommodation. Vegetarian food and scooters available.

Really magical place, I felt like I was stepping I to a palace or temple when I arrived at night. Beautiful grounds, 2 swimming pools, attentive staff, free computer and printer to use, wifi everywhere, and almost vegan menu, beautiful lush rice fields and palm trees surrounding the resort. Amazingly helpful and friendly staff!

Only drawback is that it's far from Ubud center (but there is a shuttle bus that runs every few hours). I wish there were more choices on the menu too. (Menu is 100% vegetarian and food is great). There are standard Indonesian dishes like:
    Nasi goreng
    Gado-gado
    Mie Goreng
    Tempe
    Tofu

Plus a few others. But only desert is fruit salad day after day. For breakfast there is 1 extra non-indonesian item: yogurt and toast, but no vegan alternative.

We payed $14 / night for a couple -- a fantastic deal if you can deal with the minor downsides listed.

Cleaniness & promt service is issue. Some cheap rooms & old rooms are really worst, never accept it.. They can spoil your vacation. Recent visit here, I've got spider bite and swelling until 1 week with lot of pain.
Vegetarian food is good but limited choices!

Oh, it's clearly changed since all the previous reviews. Grounds all unkempt, no water in the pool, they no longer offer the cooking class that they state on their website, and my room had no cold water. So that would be a boiling hot shower, hot water from the basin and no water in the toilet.
A disgrace of a hotel. Paid for three nights and barely made it through one before checking out.

Booked through AirBNB, and description is not up to date.
No free yoga classes. No free meditation. Breakfast buffé dont exist, two "A la carte" options which was not so exciting. Got full refund and only stayed one night instead of three nights.

Was there in middle of july.

Probably what you think Ubud is like before you get there and meet reality. Super peaceful, surrounded by rice fields in a really pretty environment. The rooms are not that great but the overall feeling definitely pays off. It's a good 30-40 minute walk to downtown Ubud, but if you have a moped it's easy to get there. Not that many food options around, so plan accordingly! The staff is friendly and helpful, and for the price is an amazing option that you shouldn't miss.

What a unique and thoroughly enjoyable experience this was. Suly Resort and Spa is run by teenagers who are there to learn Hospitality but also be immersed in languages from around the world. Being greeted by happy, smiling people every time of the day or not was fantastic, nothing was ever a problem. I never found out who it was, but whoever was cleaning the room every day also took my son's figurines and assembled them into a scene - it was a small thing, but really showed how much they cared. My son very much looked forward to getting back to the hotel at the end of the day, just to see how his toys had been arranged.

This is a great place to relax, start into the day with some free yoga lesson, enjoy some served tee in the afternoon. There is a lot of space around and a lot of friendly but sometime clueless and inexperienced staff.

The hotel was fabulously designed to preserved the Balinese artwork combined with modern architecture. It is managed and run by the children of Yayasan Bali Global Foundation to sustain their free education and housing. Try to stay on this resort/hotel and find serenity of you soul.
