Really nice place! It is located between some rice fields and 5 min from Ubud (calmer!). The personnel was fantastic and the breakfast good. I will go back there!

I do not recommend that you stay at Ananda Cottages in Ubud. Severely overpriced for old, run down, and poorly maintained property. Bed bugs is a serious issue. Their way of managing is to spray the mattress with bug spray and put new sheets on or offer to change rooms where bed bugs are spread. Food is terrible, service is slow, sheets and towels are old and stained and its expensive to get into main Ubud as the prices are all set by local drivers. I would recommend Airbnb with better facilities and nicer service with clean amenities. Staff will not refund or accomodate price when not delivering clean or safe rooms. Also had money stolen from the room by house keeping or staff.

The place awesome.
They have large no of wooden cottages surrounded by rice fields/small ponds/artistic gardens.
Recommended for spending good time with closer ones; calm & safe place.
Pool is maintained well.

Really beautyful setting! Wow! No beach but 3 pools in a jungle environment. Free shuttle to Ubud. Quiet, rustic but confortabble.

Beautiful ricefield views and huge yoga shala. The breakfast is really good and complete too. The grounds are vast and easy to get lost just exploring the property. I love the bridge through the forest in the back that leads to the yoga shala.

Stayed last December and loved this place so much!
Few hours drive from the airport and city but worth it.
Family owned estate so there's a family memorial at the entrance.
Wifi available.
Concierge were accomodating.
Restaurant had delicious buffet breakfast and then private dinners.
Kitchen offered private cooking lessons.
The compound is large with several houses separated by rice fields, each section with a pool.
Our room was located next to the yoga room and pool, it had a 4 post bed with mosquito nets, air conditioning, TV, small fridge.response / report this review -

Be careful at this hotel. We were with a group and a camera went missing from a locked room. Staff were very condescending and not helpful at all. Disappointed!

Stunning service, gorgeous spotless accommodation, splendid natural bathroom, delicious breakfasts.
One evening I tripped on a stair. I had immediate, courteous and concerned care from staff.
By 8:00 the next morning I saw two workers and staff discussing what could be added to prevent another fall. I joined and said there was nothing to be changed, I just hadn't seen it. I suggested simply painting a white stripe on the edge to highlight it.
By that very evening two boards had been painted already.
That kind of prompt service is remarkable.
I will be back!!

Very friendly staf and the service is good. The cottages are nice between the rice feelds and there is a lot to do. They have yoga lessons, dance lessons, cooking lesson and spa. The restaurant is also very good and take a swim in the three swimmingpools.

Very large villas and padi fields right in the front of the rooms. Our villa have a spectacular view of the pool, Padi Field and the mountain. Very good and wide selection of breakfast buffet. At night with the torches placed on the the pathway, the sound of crickets, frogs.very soothing and relaxing.

An exceptional holiday experience, the padi field in front of the cottage, the jasmine aroma in the room. The breakfast buffet was great with varieties of fresh fruits. This is one place we didn't have the time to play with our gadgets.

Lovely room, big and clean. Got a balcony with a view of garden, some with rice field view.
The reception is small, but good service with a smile.very nice people. Ananda cottage have a family relation with Bliss Ubud Sangingan (famous with spa). Walking to the room quiet far from the main road, and that's very good because you can't hear the noise from the main road.
Ask for the 2nd floor room, I think it's better because got a wide view. The room is big and lovely and clean, got a mosquito net above the bed, air conditioning works well, the bed is comfort and complete with coffee maker etc. The bathroom is clean, even better than Bliss and quiet big too, the amenities is good. The con is, there's only one waste bin in the bathroom, none in the bedroom, so it's annoying. Next con is, there's no shower curtain on the bath tub, so if you use shower to bath, the water splatter everywhere, too bad. Next con is the amenities got no tooth paste, even they provide you with 2 toothbrush. Next con is, sometime the clean and lovely bed got stain with lizard dump from the above ceiling, it's a small problem but annoying, even though the ceiling is beautiful..in spite of all, I love the room.
The garden very green and nice, but in the night lack of light, the footpath to the room (no.15) sometimes dark.
The breakfast is average, with Indonesian choices and toast etc, very basic, but the service is very good and the dining room is nice..
If you like traditional Balinese atmosphere then this cottage is suitable for you.response / report this review -

I loved staying here. The rice fields were beautiful to walk around, the room was lovely, staff were super friendly and the food was amazing. Best breakfasts every day and a nice 10min walk to the main street of Ubub.
