Really nice place that suprised us with live music. The food is amazing. The best gulash we tasted in Budapest. Reasonable prices
The restaurant is nice, the food is very good and in big portions.
The staff is polite and they speak good english. The live gipsy music gives a nice atmosphere to the place.
For the food I would gave five stars, but we had to wait very long. But this was really no problem because there was really great live music.
I must say I was first very skeptical to go as 1st this was advertised/recommended by our hotel (work together to promote their business as it's not doing well?). 2nd there's a 12% service fees added to the bill; I read online that we should be avoiding places with mandatory service fees as tips are already guaranteed then they wouldn't work hard for their tips (which makes sense); however, this place was wonderful. Service was excellent and food was good; I had the chicken parikash and it was not very flavorful but perhaps that's the way it is? My friend ordered the chicken breast wrapped with bacon and it was so tasty and juicy! Live music is definitely a plus! We sat right behind the band and when they were getting started, I thought it was going to be loud but no, the classical that they played was so beautiful. When the band found out we are from New York, they played "New York, New York" in front of us. It was one of the most romantic nights I have had. I tried hard to think of a reason to not to give this place the last star (5) but I simply can't find one so why not? Highly recommend. Would definitely go back.
A fine traditional Hungarian restaurant with great food and live music from the violin and guitar / dulcimer duo. The atmosphere is wonderful. The service was very friendly and efficient
We enjoyed a nice evening in this restaurant. Food was good and a musician group was playing (violon, guitar, Cimbalon).
Excellent service on a busy Friday evening, accomodating our large group even without a reservation.
Cheap, cheerful, had some live music, close to the bars as well! Great food which is always a plus
Nice and cosy place. Excellent service! Recommending the fish especially, the trout and Kings prawn, really really good!
Good food, great service and a fantastic band playing the violin and piano. All this to a very low cost.
The service was mediocre at best and the food was not as good as the service. The prices on the other hand were definitely not in line with the quality. High prices and low quality are not a good combination. When I told the owner I was unhappy with my food he did not seem to care all that much.
Live music. Compare to the food quality, which they had to change it because it was dried, it is a expensive restaurant.
First place recommended by a bouncer at Szimpla. The staff was friendly, live piano music and food was good. Was a little bit pricey.
Food was good but in my opinion and compared to the general pricing, it was too expensive. The "Wiener Schnitzel" was too thin and not really of flavour. Unfortunately there was nearly no local beer available.
