Fantastic service and the food was of high quality and huge portions as well. Such a cozy atmosphere, and this place is great for big groups as well. There was a lot to choose from in the menu, and especially if you like meat. Would recommend for a real Hungarian dining experience.

Great meals (amount and quality) at reasonable prices. Also, best steak around the city. Cordial, warm atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. You are going to want to return for another dinner. And another. And another..

The food was delicious and the ambiance very welcoming. The staff speaks English and was very kind in helping us best understand the menu and various dishes. It was a busy night even though it was middle of the week so I recommend making a reservation ahead of time.

They were full on a Tuesday, but the guy said I could squeeze in as long as I ate quick(about 50 mins). I said perfect let's do this. Sat down and ordered, food came quick. The food was awesome, the service wasn't bad either. Highly recommend, but it would be wise to set a reservation, I just happened to luck out. P.s. the venison was on point

We arrived without reservation on an early Saturday night and we were told the the place was fully booked. Luckily just before we left a table outside became available.
We ordered Gulash and stake. It was really good and the waitress was extra nice and cute. We highly recommend the place.

Very cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and a large selection of local dishes. We had two starters and three main courses and all were great. I would recommend trying the peach soup as a starter, it's something I had never had before but it was really delicious.

Very disappointed! I had a great experience in February and decided to take my parents who were visiting Budapest. The schnitzels were overcooked to the point where the meat inside was actually grey and barely chewable. I ordered the 'Gypsy style' roast pork, which was amazing previously, and what I received could not compare. It was completely dry and the portion seemed significantly smaller. I could only inform the waiter when we asked for the bill as he was conspicuously absent during the course of our meal. His response was, "Oh sorry", took the payment and then disappeared again. To round it off I developed a nasty case of food poisoning the following day.

Quite disappointed about this place. We were attracted about the great ratings but it turns out that some plates, recommended by the staff were not worthing the price (dry meat).
The service could also be better, we waited so much just for tap water, while any other drink came in a minute.
If can fin better places in Budapest for the same price range.

Our first great meal in the city of Budapest. We visited in 2010 and randomly bumped into Paprika and went in because we were starving. We loved the interior decor and friendly staff.

Food was amazing. We loved both the goulash and chicken plum sauce. Would love to return If I'm back in Budapest. Highly recommend it!

This is great place. And it's always occupied by visitors. So you better pre book your visit by phone, otherwise you should wait for about 30-40 mins. And it's great place with tasty gulyás.

    A very good local restaurant.
    Have around only 12 tables
You are to make a reservation before if not you will not find a table!!
    But it's definitely worth it!!
    Enjoy.

We were here on "revoltion day 23.Oct" we had no booking and they were solidly booked. They have us the option to "eat quick n get out" which we took and were grateful for the opportunity. Great food. Great service. Great prices. Quirky little local food specialists.
