Some kind of building works from early in the morning somewhat ruined the experience; unsure if holiday bonus or hotel was at fault but our double was a twin with two beds pushed together, decor is dated, but hotel is well located, 3-4 metro stops from Central, if you're on the right side of the building you can just about see Central, and there's a nearby Tesco, cinema, and other shops. €1.50ish/450ft city tax pppn, and €50 or bank card security deposit. Didn't use the pool/gym etc

Quite comfortable, well sound insulated rooms. Well located next to Metro so only 10 minutes from centre of Budapest.

The facilities and restaurant were pretty good. Part of the staff was nice, but the staff at the lobby could provide a better customer service. The hotel is near to one of the metro stations and several bus and tram stations, which made it easy to move in the city.

Pro: The breakfast selection is good and the location is very near a metro station and the main arena.
Con: The staff were extremely rude when I asked to be moved into a non-smoking room due to issues with asthma. While I understand that indoor smoking is common in this part of Europe, accommodations should be readily available when this becomes a problem. Apparently the hotel was completely booked so I as offered the only other room available which was the "accessible room" on the 3rd floor. The room was clean and smoke free, but the sink tap would not stay on unless continually held and the floor drain was not at the lowest part of the floor resulting in the pooling of water in the middle of the bathroom as a result of lack of shower barriers.response / report this review -

The hotel looks better on the inside than on the outside. The food and service are good, the food is good the rooms are on the tiny side and the pillows are as thin as paper.
Gave it 4 stars only because of the gym and Spa - it is huge and of very high quality.response / report this review -

The hotel has been reconstructed a couple of years ago, so it looks newer as it is. (It's an old hotel in Budapest.) The public transportation is good, the metro line 2 takes you to the inner city, to the nicest pedestrian street, to the international railway station and also to the Danube, and to the Buds side. The hotel has a good restaurant, but the swimming pool is rather small.

Rude staff in the hall even refused to give me a replacement key to get in my room. Not to mention the disgusting smell of sweat and overcooked sausage fat in the elevators (if you've been around in Budapest you know what I mean, they love it there apparently). Rooms were clean but consider bringing a real pillow; cleaning staff is kind and helpful so go and ask some extra bedsheets. You can find an electric boiler in every room but don't expect teabags.

Please do something with the speed of the internet connection, this is impossible, when you arrive and try to call home, but you can't even connect properly. And it would be better to have clean toilet seat without the signs of somebody's pee Very sad impression.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. I spent a week in this hotel and the cleaners never clean the room properly, at the 3rd day they only changed the towels a couple of times and never changed the bed. Forget about cleaning the bathroom. On my first shower the bath was greasy and with hair in it, I had to clean it myself. Very poor service to be considered a 4 star hotel. Doesn't worth the money at all.
Breakfast also is very poor, not too many options, cheap quality of food for breakfast.
The resto bar in the lobby, called "Oregano" has good food. I had to eat there many times because the rest of the hotel service is discussing.
I also try the manicure and pedicure service and it was completely disappointed, I got infected nail and polish peel off in less than 12 hours.
The massage in the gym down stairs was alright but definitely you can get more for less money.
I won't recommend this hotel at all, specially for the bad cleaning service on the room.response / report this review
