Location: This is best thing about hotel vis. They have a direct bus line connecting the hotel to the old city, so travel is not an issue at all. They also have private parking space which is quite useful. The hotel faces lapad bay and has a beautiful (almost) private beach. Rooms: The hotel is quite old and it becomes very apparent once you enter the place. The hotel has no elevator. The rooms are comfortable but could certainly be improved. The amenities seem like at least a decade old and not well maintained. Breakfast: The breakfast buffet was very good though a bit limited. However full marks for amazing quality. Service: The staff was quite helpful and friendly. We were greeted by smiling people at the reception and they guided us on things to see and how to travel within the city.

Noisy construction that went on all day and some days all night. Not the hotels fault but definitely a decision maker.
Plug sockets hanging off walls, noisy bed, air con not working. The one star is for the staff who were friendly and the other is for the location.

Primo Oct. 2017 we stayed for 3 days at this hotel. I have lived in many hotels both privately and professionally, but this surpasses even the worst experiences. A small balcony in front of the room was overlaid with ventilation ducts that stood and vibrated and sent a constant low-frequency sound pressure into the room of approx. 60 decibels, unbearable.
With my experience, the stay can only be characterized as a pure scandal. Now the stay was incl. in a so-called package trip (travel bereau), but had it been booked on alm. Wise, we had left the hotel as soon as possible.
    FIND ANOTER HOTEL.

Great location! Poor service but fair. Clean and quite comfortable. 10mins bus ride to the center of Dubrovnik. Door to door. The bay in front is beautiful.

Best thing about the hotel was the location.and that's were it stopped. Room need a good renovation bathrooms old and mouldy toilets was broken, 9 inch TV with a remote that didn't work. Hotel only had 1 iron for the hole hotel. When sun baking on the beach you had to pay for the beach lounges and towels at a cost of $20 Australian dollars. Breakfast looked like the previous night left overs with stale biscuits and powered eggs. Waiter staff were good however got a very rude and abrupt receptionist. Wouldn't recommend unless desperate

    1) Dusty room, dusty floor and curtains. Even the hotel information booklet had dust on it. The shower curtain was yellowish.

    2) Drove up to the front of the hotel and could not get through the gantry. Small parking area (10 cars max) and was full. Stopped somewhere and went to the frontdesk and asked about the free parking that was provided, receptionist told us to park at another hotel a little down the road but also full. So I parked beside the gantry, and I made sure to leave enough space for cars to pass (I estimated there was enough space for a bus to pass as well). Next morning we left for a walk around town, came back at noon and saw a traffic police officer issuing us a parking ticket. Apparently my car was blocking a delivery truck from entering and the hotel called the police to remove my car. (tow truck came shortly after, but the officer told them to leave since I paid the fine)

At frontdesk I could constantly see my car clearly through the video of the CCTV at the gantry. If we weren't even allowed to park there in the first place, someone from the front desk should have notified us in the 15-20 hours that my car was parked there no?

300kn fine and what really angered us was that the hotel promised free parking but did not take any responsibility in ensuring their customers have a parking space. Asked the hotel supervisor to put in a word for me for the fine and this was exactly what he said: 'it's not my business'. Well done come I clap for you.

Hotel is in a great location in Lapad, right on the bay and a 10 minute bus ride from Dubrovnik old town. The rooms are basic but very clean as is the rest of the hotel, the staff are polite and efficient. We enjoyed our stay there.

A dated hotel, we still found it a very pleasant stay here. Room and amenities were not extraordinary. Friends stayed across the street for about the same money and their accommodations were better. Ended up diving at a hotel up the road and it was walking distance. Beach is pebble so bring some flip-flops or water shoes. Water was beautiful.

Not very helpful in the reception, but the cleaning staff were very friendly. 15 min bus from old town, pretty nice beach right at the hotel.

I recommend you who should visit beautiful Dubrovnik to stay on Vis hotel, located directly on the beach. The hotel had very helpful staff with a friendly reception and housekeeping was excellent. Adjacent to the hotel there was a small snack bar with nice atmosphere and friendly staff. With close proximity to the sea and only 15 minutes bus ride to town, this is the hotel I can highly recommend to you who will be traveling to beautiful Dubrovnik.
