Saturday night. Empty. Tried to push our group to get the set meal by saying the ala carte menu would take a half hour to prepare. The rice with my dish came last and 45 min later. Not worth the wait.

PROS: Nice outdoor terrace & colonial details. CONS: Terrible service and food I have experienced in Hong Kong thus far. Been here on multiple occasions, all have been regretfully lacklustre and terrible experiences.

Tired from the sightseeing and window shopping around TST, we decided to make an evening pit stop. Came across the 1881 Heritage, an upmarket shopping, hotel and dining venue. The Parlour with its alfresco seating and views of the heritage surrounds, naval guns and Hong Kong Cultural Centre was an attractive coffee stop.

It turned out to be an excellent decision. The service staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful with questions about the hotel and recommendations of nearby local eateries. The venue was comfortable and the coffee was rich and flavorsome. We were just across the road from the Symphony of Lights.

Dreadful service and not interested to serve from half the staff. When we booked we confirmed it was a buffet, when we turned up it was aka carte - bizarre yogurt and croissants at 2pm on a Saturday wasn't what we were expecting. Food was poor - beef was ropey and would be sent back in most restaurants but here would mean no food.
