Nice place. Older room, but well cared for. And the view, price, and location are unbeatable I'd recommend it.
Nice hotel with fantastic view of skyscrapers of HongKong with light shows towards the evening.
Rooms are not too spacious but have all requisite facilities for a comfortable stay.
Coffee shop serves quite an elaborate breakfast.
Hotel is value for money👍🏻
This Harbourview Hotel next to the Art Centre is not the 5-star Renaissance Harbourview Hotel although they are about 15-minute walk apart. I came to its Function Room on 2/F for the first time on April 26 to celebrate the World Intellectual Property Day. I was surprised to find that there is veranda enabling participants to take a break from the crowd and to have some fresh air!
The stay was good. We stayed for 3 nights. Rooms were bit small but harbour view was amazing. Night lights and waking up to ahining buildings was worth it. Walking distance from happening wan chai market. Breakfast spread was good but they could add more from Indian Subcontinent. Overall nice stay.
A clean and consistently good service hotel. Staff are well trained and friendly. A recommended hotel for sure .
Good inexpensive hotel. Got a newly renovated room last time which was fab.
Seriously this place sucks. Do not choose this place if you're here for a business trip. The wifi simply does not work 90% of the time. I have kept calling the customer center every day for the last three days and all they said is that I should try again. Well I have been trying. My phone downloads 5 MB out of a 12 MB file. And I am stranded here without being able to email. Of course you can go out for internet, but if you just want to get a few things down in the night after being on a forum for the entire day, then you really don't want to spend half an hour sending a single attachment.
Best part of that hotel - harbor view (it’s absolutely true name for that hotel) and tranquility. Good sound isolation. There was road construction downstairs which I didn’t even notice here until I looked down. Sunrise with coffee will give picturesque sunbeams on skyscrapers on the opposite side of Barbour. Room is not too big, but nicely and stylishly done, kettle with tea and coffee is provided. Bed linen is spotlessly clean. Hotel is not on one of the main streets but not far from central area either, and 5 min walk to bus station to go to airport. Staff speaks good understandable English. I’d definitely stay here next time I’m in HK.
Room size is great. Harbourview rooms are great! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is convenient to everything
Famous hotel in HK Island. Splendid harbour views. Excellent location and good service. After long-hour work, I'd like to take foot and body treatment in Zenxes Foot Retreat in Happy Valley. To my surprise, I have seen so many foreigners enjoying Zenxes service there. Very professional and modern. I like it so much!
Stayed here 10 years ago, and then in November 2017, and am glad to say standards have been maintained. Room décor is a little retro 90s in feel, but cleanliness, service and facilities are otherwise top. For the price I paid for two weekday nights, the room is also large, considering what one usually gets in a central area of Hong Kong. Lastly, found the airport transfer very useful. It’s marginally more expensive than me taking the MTR then the Airport Express. But it’s worth it considering the convenience.
Great location in Wanchai 10 min walk to shops. Close to Hong Kong harbour. My hotel had view of the harbour with a comfortable chair. Breakfast buffet was quite nice and not expensive. Overall a good place to experience Hong Kong island from.
Getting ready for a lighting fair is a serious task. For those who didn't book hotel a year in advance the only one thing is left - to test the luck by staying at the 3 star ones.
Must admit - a pleasant surprise, the hotel was quite nice. There were all the things needed in the bathroom and the shower gel was smelling very nice! The bedding was also nice and the room wasn't small in comparison to other hotels in HK.
The staff is extremely friendly and don't charge your card twice as in 4 bloody season hotel HK!
Thanks guys!
It was a pleasant stay. The shower was good.
There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that takes you to Central area.
A decent hotel with helpful staff. Really close to the convention center which is useful for working events there.
The room is average in style but very clean and tidy. Service is fantastic. Not just one or two I individual but the whole team has the same standard. Location is convinient
Gem of a hotel in Wanchai on the harbour next to the convention centre. Rooms looking over the harbour give a stunning view. Has become popular with hordes of Chinese tourists, who can be noisy and seem to seldom respect smoking rules. The other big benefit for me is that the hotel is a social enterprise of the YMCA with profits put into charitable work of the organisation.
Is ok for a few nights. In Walking distance to the city centre. For reasonable price. Breakfast is good if included in the room charge
Good dinner buffet, especially for those oyster lovers. Afternoon tea buffet is also good for those dessert lovers.
My family members have been there many times.
Views. Buffet. Privacy. Best of three hotel options at HK Convention Centre, if you get a jr. suite with a view - in terms of value.
Nice hotel for a quick stay on HK island. Beautiful ocean view to see Victoria Harbour, and it is a bit down to see construction sites right outside the window. Overall, it's a pleasant stay.
Very nice staff, clean room, and a great view of the harbor. The price was very fair for Hong Kong. For people visiting from the west, they have English tv. After sitting on a plane for 16 hours, watching English tv and looking out over the harbor was perfect. Hope to be back soon. - Justin
Nice rooms with great view of the harbour. Breakfast was excellent
Good food, decent services compared to price paid
Probably the worst place I've stayed. No harbour view, dirty rooms, furniture from the 1950's and the constant number of people shouting and arriving and leaving at all times of the night.
This hotel was super nice. We expected small rooms, however, rooms are good size and super clean. Staff is also super friendly. Location is really good, almost everything is less than 10 mins away. Will definitely stay here again.
Great experience. Little odd with putting the room key to leave the lights on. Somewhat expected the room to be a bit more luxurious considering the rest of the hotel looks amazing. Perfect to the convention. A little walk to the Wan Chai subway station and to the stores and shops. Internet was for sure spotty and worked about 85 to 90% of the time. maybe 95% but spotty. Other than that, everything else was great. Biggest complaint, some rooms was expected to look and feel more upscale for the price. Oh, and limited electrical sockets.
