I have to say the front desk was really nice and tried to speak English the best he could, and wasn’t bad especially since my Spanish isn’t the best either. But this is why I have to be honest and the reasons why I can only give it a 3. I also have to say by no means am I a picky traveler when it comes to accommodations but

    1. Main reason is because there are directly beside a night club that plays only classic rock and old dance music. Don’t get me wrong I appreciate that music but not when the bass is so loud the metal roof shakes and distort the sound.

    2. The price is reasonable for the good ol backpacker hostel sites but the truth is the really nice ones aren’t listed on there because they don’t need to be. Thousands of travellers pass through the small island town daily and the prices for a nice room with amazing views are the same and cheaper. I was disappointed when I friend left after one day but happy when they showed me all the other hotels (not hostels) for the same price.

    3. The rooms had a sewage smell which usually I don’t mention because a lot of the time it’s not the hostels fault. But this smell was pretty bad every time a tap was turned on or you took a shower

Don’t get me wrong I could and did actually stay there for 3 days but having to wake up at 3am for Tikal and listening to the bass of the club wasn’t a good mix. I’d suggest booking another hostel or just wait until you get there if it’s in the day and just search. There are no shortages of hotels and hostels here I guarantee it.

Not really good, it is in a noisy area, one of the lights in the room was no working and they didn't even care about it. After I checked out a day later I realized I left the phone I use for my job and at least they returned it. Thanks.

Not very clean and its loud at night as it is right next to a club. But its a cheap place to lay your head.

The only complain I have is that the breakfast was small. Everything was great the workers were very attentive at a moments notice and the place was priced fairly

If I could give them zero stars I would. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I checked in and I always check the beds before laying in them. I lifted the bed spread and there were FLEAS jumping around in the sheets!!! The lady tried to rip me off after I showed her the FLEAS and demanded my money back because I wasn't going to stay there. She wanted to charge me $125 for the 30 mins I was there. I put my foot down and got all my money back.
*NO se quede aquí las camas tienen PULGAS!!!*

The sheets were dirty and the room smelled strange. Sadly we already payed when we arrived and the Guy at the reception did not want to give us back out money. So we left for a hotel with a/c fur just 50qtc more. So we have payed 200qtc for bad experience

Very noisy with clubs nearby. Cucarachas in the bathroom and a fan that only had maximum speed. Otherwise it's a nice little hotel with complementary water and coffee.

Good price for a private room with private bathroom. Fairly quite in low season, but I'm sure it would be loud in high season when the clubs are hopping til late. Bed wasn't super comfortable and the shower had the electric buzz that threatens to jolt but doesn't. But it was clean and I'm happy with it.

A nice place, with good staff and location but there are frequent power outages and a very loud club next door.

the hotel wasn't honest with us . as we came we asked if there is room for the night as we been answered that they do we asked to see it and also asked if it has hot water . we have been answered that they do and seen the electric shower in the bathroom we closed for 2 nights we also booked a tour to tikal but we havnwt talled about an extra fee we need to pay for the entrance early in the morning 150QTZ for the entrance and another 100QTZ for the sunrise opening . when we complained the answer was all the rooms dosent have hot water . about the tour we asumed it was an honest mistake so we just told them to pay attention to it .they didn't refund us . we asked to talk to the manager and that he will wake us up at any hour he arrives and they didn't .we asked that he will call us and he didn't and the answers from them on facebook aren't satisfing and very laconic /
