The best of the best in Antigua. This is a magical place in the magical city. Very nice place with lot of history, great service and very good meal and beverages.

A beautifully restored colonial space turned hotel-museum, that you can walk for hours in without visiting the whole place. Would love to stay here when I visit next. During our visit, we took it all in and also paid for the visit to the museum's it hosts. Definitely a must-see in Antigua!

Gorgeous grounds, ruins, restaurants and museums all in one place. You can easily spend a day wandering around experiencing art, history and Maya culture and losing yourself in one of seven museums.
The restaurant holds Guatemala's top chef's so stay for some of the best food in Central America or grab friends for a famous Sunday brunch.

This is a very nice property with great service. Courtyard style hotel. Food is good, service is very good and rooms are very nice. While I wouldn't call it 5 star, it's certainly 4+ stars. Food was average to good but not memorable.

The place to visit and dine while in Antigua. The former convent has been restored from its destruction by an earthquake. The artifacts reclaimed are amazing. We visited at night and there was a wedding occurring under the stars. The hundreds of candles made for a special setting. You can spend hours exploring the property.

After exploring, dine in the world class restaurant and experience some of the best food I've ever eaten in a very special venue.

It was beautiful. Also bigger than I realized. I spent way more time exploring inside than I planned to. The chocolates in the chocolate shop were amazing!

Excellent hotel! It really feels like you are back in colonial times. Beautifully decorated and very elegant. Service is excellent as well.

Toured museums inside, had nice buffet lunch on open patio. Very mild, not hot Mexican food. Lovely settings all over, ideal for wedding

This is a Hotel, Museum, and Restaurant. There are many sections to visit, see and admire, although some have an entrance fee. Still, there are several free to access areas worth visiting.

Stunning hotel. They allow public Access to the ruins in the back which are so cool. Surrounded by a picturesque landscape. I can only imagine the weddings they book here.

One of the best hotels in Antigua and Guatemala for that matter. Built in the grounds of the 16th century Santo Domingo Monastery it's got beautiful gardens and museums. Food is delicious. The Spa is simply magnificent and super relaxing. Excellent for events like weddings or parties. Upscale so it's pricey.

Not a hotel i would recommend to anyone traveling to Antigua, Guatemala. High price for low service, the beds were uncomfortable, the wifi did not work in most of the areas of the hotel, majority of the staff was not friendly. Also We were told breakfast was included when we check in but after we ate they gave us a very pricey bill. It seemed they were trying to up charge any way they could. On the plus side they had several small museums that were interesting. Left with a bad experience.

An amazing hotel. A magical mix of colonial history and modern comfort. Also excellent food, a great pool and beautiful museums inside the hotel.

Beautiful place. Too crowded. I wouldn't recommend staying there if your plan is to spend a quiet and relaxing time. Plenty other of places in Antigua for that.

Amazing hotel and restaurant located within the ruins and restorstion of an old convent.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures because the place is amazing. Have eaten there twice. Expensive but great creative food. Excellent service

Incredible hotel, truly one of a kind. The history of this property is impressive enough, but the fact that they've managed to preserve that and turn it into one of the most luxurious hotels in Antigua is impressive. Great restaurants, a huge pool, and hands down the best museums around. A must see whether you stay here or just visit for the day!

Beautiful historical place. Parrots love their picture taken. Beautiful flowers. Fountains everywhere. Lots of space for everyone. Romantic place to stay.

Didn't stay here as it was too expensive for us, but you can walk through, see the Macaws and see the ruins of the church. Very, very nice place just to visit and for free

Pricey but great place to stay in Antigua. The breakfast buffet (I don't usually do buffets) was amaze-balls.

Hotel built on top of a 16th century ruin. Previously a convent from Spanish colonial era, abandoned due to earthquakes.

My wife and I were married at Casa Santo Domingo seven years and visited again December 2016 - January 2017. The grounds are as beautiful as ever and the hotel has added new amenities (the spa is a wonderful addition). Despite the nostalgia, lovely grounds, and increased amenities, I have to dock my review because of the sewage-like smell present in our hotel room. Even after complaining and the subsequent air freshening by hotel staff, the sewage smell lingered.
