Stayed here overnight, can't speak to the restaurant except for the complimentary breakfast, which was fine. The real treat here is the roof top terraces.They offer a panoramic view of the city and surrounding volcanoes. The rooms were about what one should expect for this level of hotel in Guatemala.

All of the restaurant food was good, but nothing really knocked your socks off. The price is quit high for Guatemala, especially for the quality taste and service. I think Hector's is a much better deal.

The Meson Panza Verde restaurant is simply amazing. New York City quality in Antigua. The waitstaff is A+, there is an excellent wine list, and the food is sublime. You must go.

Visited back in 2015, but everything was terrific. The room was gorgeous, as is the entire property. We received a drink on arrival and had it on one of the many balconies. All the staff were great, and the breakfast was nice (though not amazing). Can't recommend this place enough.

We had heard so much about Meson Panza Verde prior to our trip, so it was one of our must-do dinners while in Antigua. Our dinner was (by far) the best meal we had during our time in Guatemala. It's no wonder it's been voted one of the top restaurants in the country.
We could tell the ingredients were top quality and the presentation was beautiful. The service was professional, friendly, and prompt. The setting was intimate and romantic, with options to sit at candlelit tables surrounding a garden, an outdoor terrace or in La Cueva (where we sat). The benefit to La Cueva is there is nightly live music after 8pm, except on Sundays ($5 per person fee added to dinner bill).
We walked to the restaurant from our hotel on the other side of Antigua (around 6:30pm). However, since we didn't leave the restaurant until after 9pm, we called a taxi to drive us back to our hotel just to be safe.
For a delicious, intimate meal in Antigua, we highly recommend Meson Panza Verde.
Dishes:
-Duck Breast a L’ Orange (perfectly cooked medium)
-Homemade Squid Ink Fetuccine (gorgeous presentation with the clams and mussels all opened)
Cocktails:
-The Panza Verde: bourbon, lemon juice, amargo de angostura mint green liqueur (reminded me of a spin on a Mint Julep - delicious and refreshing)

This is considered an upscale restaurant in Guatemala. The atmosphere is very romantic and the food is exceptionally good! Everything we ordered from appetizers to entree, amazing!

Dined here again from our 2 years ago visit. Food is wonderful, staff is friendly, live music is lovely and the atmosphere is gorgeous!! Would definitely recommend!!! If you are looking for Luxury Panza Verde, is the place in Antigua. This small hotel has the most amazing rooms I have every stayed in a hotel in Guatemala.
The beds are huge, nice small court yard views. A great Restaurant, a wading pool.
You want a room away from the Dining area gets a little loud some nights and runs till 11:00. Just to keep it in mind.response / report this review -

I have been going to Panza Verde for years - it was the premiere restaurant in Antigua. Unfortunately I took my husband there for the first time this weekend since we were in Guatemala for a wedding, and we both ended up with extreme food poisoning. After 4 days, we are just beginning to eat bread. The decor is beautiful and the food is normally amazing, but this was the worst experience.
