I stayed at Los Volcanes on both my way in and out of Guatemala via Guatemala City. Both times it was very clean, staff was very friendly, and everything was well done. The first time I had a private room with a shared bathroom, and the second I had a private bathroom as well. Honestly the shared bathroom was just fine. If you want more privacy though, the room with a private bathroom is located in a separate building. The hostal is located in a secure area with a gated entrance, so it is very safe. I was there on a holiday and the other folks I met on the street were very friendly and let me join them for fireworks. The proximity to the airport with free shuttle makes this the best spot for a quick stay while coming or going by plane. The free breakfast is awesome too!

Great at 2 am when ur flight cancels. Paid 28 US directly at check in. Very clean shared bathroom breakfast included. Not the best, not the worst.

Me gusta mucho este lugar porque es limpio, acogedor y te llevan al aeropueto gratis. Tienen wifi y una fuente muy relajante en donde puedes leer, platicar o tomarte algo. Me encanta este lugar.

A little pricey, but included a good free breakfast and a free shuttle ride to the airport. Very friendly staff.

The service was excellent, the shuttle service and the man working reception (also the shuttle driver) was nothing short of spectacular. However we receive an email after we get to the hostel that the room we booked was not available. They placed us in a similar room however we were traveling with a child and were looking for the private bathroom.

I stayed here for a night after flying into Guatemala City and it was just what I needed.
Right beside the airport, inside a secure compound, clean room with ensuite bathroom, wifi and breakfast. The staff were really helpful. They responded quickly by email, arranged my airport pickup and an onward taxi.
Simple but efficient and good value. I would certainly stay there again.response / report this review -
