It's not that great. Staff not friendly, breakfast not very much choice, room not very clean and outdated.
Overbooked, when we arrived at 5pm the receptionist told us, the hotel is overbooked, althogh we had a confirmed booking, the only option was to move to another hotel (taxi paid by the hotel) for the same price. But this other hotel was not in the city center. As we had only little time in Helsinki, we had chosen a central one. So this was not an option. Fortunately the Radioson Sea Site was available this afternoon, it is in very good condition, also central and even cheaper. But we lost some hours due to the overbooking in Hotel Cumulus. Not sure if this is the strategy of the management of Hotel Cumulus to fill up the other houses out of inner city. However, if you want to make sure to get a room in the city center with a confirmed booking, you should not book this one.
Nice and clean hotel. Location is perfect in the city center. The only minus is that there was no fish (salmon or trout, herring) for the breakfast. 😊
Was there for one week. The first day, the breakfast was lacking some items (cutlery, juice etc.) The rest of the days everything was in place and I enjoyed the food. The staff was nice and the check in/out was super quick. The rooms were pretty standard, but I didnt feel that it lacked anything.
The hotel rooms were spacious, functional and clean.
Would have loved to have had a few more "must see" recommendations of Helsinki attractions from hotel staff.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, close by to all the Helsinki attractions and main train station.
I enjoyed my stay, it was comfortable, easy to get to and offered an excellent, diverse breakfast.
Very good location near the railway station, easy to get to anywhere. Hotel itself was satisfying, comfortable beds and ok breakfast. Rooms felt slightly old because of furniture but rooms were clean. Stayed one night in Single room that is OK to sleep in for business for couple nights. I upgraded myself to double room for second night and that felt more comfortable due to larger room and bathroom. Single room bathroom was tiny. Sauna for hotel guests was perfect after business day!
Old hotel & small rooms with the same high price as anywhere in Helsinki city centre
Kind of dated hotel, but overall it's not a bad place to stay the night.
Affordable, yet very nicely located. Rooms were basic but functional. Breakfast was very nice with a good selection.
Friendly staff and nice breakfast. Room was quite small, but sufficient. View was into very small courtyard, but one can't always have nice vistas in the city center.
