BAD SERVICE AND FOOD IS AVERAGE! Do not go to this restaurant, service is terrible the waiters don't even smile or talk to you, food is nothing special at all and quite pricey for what it is! We left disappointed and didn't even finish most of our meals from the tasting menu, so many other good restaurants on same street don't waste your time on this one

We were referred to this restaurant by the concierge at our hotel. We were very excited to try a dining experience in one of the best known culinary cities in the world. We ordered the tasting menu and the main dishes were tasty. I ordered the cheesecake for dessert and I've never left cheesecake on my plate till this evening. It tasted like warm Manchego cheese mixed with Philadelphia cream cheese. The texture was wet and chunky. The service was NON EXISTENT. Do not go here if you don't speak Spanish well, they don't even make an effort to help you. It's located on a nice street full of restaurant and little shops. This was definitely not the experience I was expecting.

Lo más clásico del Antiguo de San Sebastián. Pide rape, kokotxas y buen txakoli.

Comida tradicional de calidad, pero no es económico . Estuvimos 10 personas y pagamos 800 € sin cafés ni chupitos.

I have been in this restaurant twice. Inside the decoration is quite old-fashioned and rustic. The decor is a sort of marine and Spanish mesón restaurant. At first glance it is not attractive and probably can make you think why you have decided to enter there. The service of waiters is OK, they can be slow sometimes. The place can be crowded so booking is highly recommended. What I really think it is valuable for this place is their food.

Food is prepared in a traditional manner with fresh and high quality products. The list of wines is pretty conservative but that does not compromise your chances to get a good wine. This restaurant probably represents the authentic day to day food of Donostia. The atmosphere is relaxed and aimed for families.

I recommend the Bacalao al pil-pil with a txacolina wine. Dessert are also good, I have only tried the cuajada and a fig tart with a sauce of chocolate, this last was quite good.
