being a parador should be worth 5 stars but it has no restaurant and parking is cramped so just four.
built in a Charles V fortress high on the city with a great panorama on atlantic ocean and border between spain and france. there is a public elevator to get from city centre to the port area.
regarding the missing restaurant there are good ones nearby. parador personnel will help you to choose and book for youresponse / report this review -

The view on the terrace is worth the cost Breakfast is a little pricey but the service was top notch AC was off as well so the room was toasty Parking is an adventure but who knew 500 years ago cars needed accommodated behind castle walls

Just went to the cafeteria but this place has a great view of Fuenterrabía. The terrace is very nice too. The building is an ancient castle of Carlos III king of Spain.

Great room. Breakfast was very nice. Common areas were large and comfortable. And you're in a real castle. Cool.

I just stayed there at a bar a couple hours with my family and visited the village. It's pretty chill and nice place to spend an afternoon
