Very good placed, near Sol. If you want to walk around the center of Madrid, Cat's Hostel is an excellent place. The rooms and the bed are comfortable but the pillow is very small. The food is ok.

The staff is so lovely. Special thanks to scot, ash and micha for making our trip amazing. The bed is very good. Everything is clean and the decoration is amazing. There are a lot of organised events by the staff. Best place to stay in madrid!!!! 😊

Great central location! A bit crowded and hard to move around downstairs at night, but a overall a good time and very easy on the wallet. Definitely would stay here again next time I’m in Madrid

I had a great experience at Cats hostel. Location is great and you can walk to all the attractions like Plaza Mayor. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They helped out with the free tours, map, taxis and even gave their own recommendations for the things to do. The bathrooms are in very good and clean condition. In all, it was a great experience and would highly recommend to first timers in Madrid! :)

This hostel was really great. Nice activities, fun people and amazing staff!! Especially a big thanks to the handsome and incredible Luis. He made my stay here extra fun. He gave me all the right info, was always happy and friendly and celebrated my birthday with me. Make sure to hang out with this guy if you stay at this lovely hostel!

Maybe I'm not the typical hostel / backpacker guy, so I was not prepared well and didn't have a lock for my luggage. Was forced to buy one (it's not the 3 euros I care about but the waste of buying something I won't need after my stay) instead of the hostel lending it to me as I have experienced elsewhere.
The room I was in didn't have any windows and apparently also no proper air circulation, it smelled of feet. Surprisingly, I did have a great sleep.response / report this review -

Really nice hostel. Clean rooms, decent food and drinks and very friendly staff. Also close to the city center with lots of bars and restaurants around.

I only stayed at Cat's hostel for one night with my girlfriend and our friend, we stayed in the 12 bed dorm. We chose Cat's for the price and location which are the main selling points, it is right in the middle of the city, close to a couple of metro lines and within walking distance of the major sites. The room was clean and secure. The bed was fine for me pretty standard for a hostel, although they were squeaky, so maybe not great if you are a light sleeper. The men's bathrooms were well cleaned but the stalls for toilets and showers were very small, I suppose to fit as many in for the busy periods. Although the building was cool the common area wasn't very cosy and didn't really facilitate any interaction and the bar was cheap but small. To make up for this they have events every night, we did a tapas tour for €15 which gets you a tasty dinner and a chance to meet some fellow travellers. All in all, it was not the best hostel I've stayed in, but not the worst either, if price and location are what you are looking for then it is a good choice.

Cat's hostel is a very good party hostel. It has a perfect location, good price and it is a great place for meeting people. The free walking tour by Violeta was awesome, tapas tour was really nice and pub crawl with Mickey was amazing (so much fun!!!).
In general I loved my 4 nights staying here. I would definitely recommend the hostel to solo travelers as you can easily meet people. Breakfast buffet was pretty descent. And showers were great, perfect pressure and temperature.response / report this review
