  Rooms are of a decent size, with plenty of toilets and showers Which are ancient and dirty. I have really not enjoyed showering during my 2 nights stay. Oh, and toilets in the rooms must have old plumbing as there are signs asking you to not flush toilet paper.

  Hostel is adequate. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, although the rooms are rather small, and internet didn't quite work in the room. It's also not the most comfortable hostel bed I have slept in. On the other hand the location is excellent.

  This hostel was a phenomenal value! The location is ideal, in a very safe and vibrant area that isn't too touristic. The daily breakfast was terrific and the rooms and bathrooms were very clean! The atmosphere is social and meeting new friends is relatively easy. When I revisit Madrid, I will return to Barbieri. Your money won't go further!

  A nice terrace and comfortable beds with ensuite facilities. Fairly secure with somebody at reception 24hrs. Not a place to party too much but plenty of places to go to nearby. Well served by some local shops and transport. The kitchen is well equipped with a big gas hob. Breakfast included cereal and tartas.

  The hostel doesn't have a first aid kit.
  The breakfast is simple (bread, juice, tea, coffee, butter).
  We stayed in a 6 bed dorm and the shower is really tiny. To wash my head, I had to get down.
  Doesn't have a lift.
