Renovated. A moderate collection of Fatimite, Ayoubi, Mamlouk and Othoman eras. Some very beautiful old preserved items. Very clean and nice atmosphere. Helpful and gentle employees.

This is a fantastic museum with a lot of beautiful Islamic art. There are huge, ornate doors hung on the walls, beautiful pottery and tiles in cases, gorgeous rugs, amazing inlaid tile floors, and more. The tourism police are intimidating and exceedingly serious. The staff is very serious about no photography and will rush to stop you immediately if you haven't paid the extra fee for photos.

The expositions are beautiful, but some descriptions aren't translated to English. Great space and individual sections.

Nice place. Recently renewed and clean. Good display of monuments from all over the Islamic world from many ages and eras with informative information panels describing the origins and purpose of each monument. Got all kinds of monuments from Islamic history, from coins to, rugs, tombstones, armor, holy books, medical equipment, scientific apparatus, paintings and decorations and everyday stuff. Great place. 😊

Really nicely restored museum. Definitely one of the better ones I've visited in Egypt. Hopefully it will be maintained properly with some excellent pieces.

After renewing the display is better and very well organized, you can take the tour smoothly between Islamic ages.
You can find the Islamic art and architecture art also there is a section for Islamic coins, armor and tools.
Parking is a problem so u need to park away from musium.
    They close 4:30pm
