My first time in Egypt Cairo and my safety was my first priority. I came across grand Royal and I tell you it a nice and comfortable place to stay.very neat environment, nice room with A/c TV .The staffs I must say are very friendly and hopeful in all times .I must say good people, good food and service.I recommend this hotel.

Although Not the nicest hotel, it is a good deal for the price. The rooms are spacious and clean and the bathroom has a shower/bath that is very rare in hotel rooms. More than anything the staff are Great! We stayed for two nights and left for a week, then came back for our flight out of Cairo. I had my birthday while I was away and they remembered and brought me cake anyway. Really genuine people and a comfortable place to get away from the craziness of Cairo.

You definitely get what you pay for. The hotel is on the 6th floor of a decaying building and the elevator is probably enough to scare away any naive tourist. The room was nothing like the photos. The bathroom is small only separated from the room by 6ft partition and the shower is a 'wet floor' one which leaves more than the floor wet. The wifi is S L O W to say the least and the breakfast is nothing more than a coffee, bread roll and a hard boiled egg. The receptionist staff were helpful and friendly however.

Please don't expect anything Great from this Hotel. the name is very misleading, this place is below average and is not that great. Although if you are in Egypt and enjoy the downtown area and you have a tight budget this place is ok for you.

Lovely hotel in Cairo , city center clean room , nice breakfast , Free will fi I felt like home there staff are so friendly I so end there only 5 nights but I am planning to return back for sure . Thanks Grand Royal
