Tall Hermann is historical flag tower. When Estonian flag is up there we are independent. When the flag walls we are in trouble. Flag us raised and taken down with sun in most times (or human hours during summer when sun is up very early and goes down very late), during the raising or taking down the flag anthem is played.

Nothing special around the tower except the little park and good views. The views would be much better from the top of the tower, when they open for public.

Tower open only couple of days in the year. 20th August (Independence Restoration Day) and day when Estonian parliament house open to people (usually someday in April).
