Pepper sack beef platter was super savory while sweet. Nice beef tips, seems to be a slight spin on goulash. Restaurant was great, medieval themed in the amazing old town plaza. The servals are dressed in medieval attire and perform a show where the duel, vying for a maiden's attention. Would go again.

Wow, I really loved this place. The waiters are wearing old costumes and the building is old and lovely decorated. You can also sit outside which is really nice. I had the garlic bread - absolutely delicious - and some amazing salad. But my highlight was the superb dessert, we shared the chocolate cake with some berry sorbet, the creme brulée with strawberry cream and some ice. Everything was topped with some fresh fruits and I couldn't say which was better Well, actually the spiced caramel ice was the best. I was totally surprised and loved it! The waiters were also super nice and didn't look too weird because of our special orders. Oh, I forgot, try the honey beer, also really nice :)
All in all 5 out of 5, loved this place!

Usually there's a friendly customer service and a lovely atmosphere in the cafe. However, today it looked like a bad day for one of the stuff. I thought my cup of coffee would end up on the floor. 'Keep calm and smile' - that's what I wanted to say to that person.

We visited this restaurant for a birthday meal. It is charmingly decorated in Medieval style and all the staff are in costume. We ate in the restaurant downstairs where you could see all the meals being prepared in front of you. Our meal was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. When we'd finished eating we had drinks at one of the tables in the main dining area upstairs where the nightly sword fight takes place. This was a highly entertaining event with the costumed performers, fighting to win the heart of a girl which involved lots of shouting in Estonian and some highly dramatic fencing on the stairs. Well worth a visit x

Like many restaurants in Tallinn old town, Peppersack has a medieval theme going, complete with costumed waiters and a weirdly worded menu. This may not be everybody's cup of tea. However, the food, the home-brewed beer and the service were all excellent. The prices are reasonable and I'd definitely go again.

To say, that it's just a place with good food is not enough. Have spend here about a week straight after which I had some good memories. Have tried their burgers and can say, that they are high-quality.

Old, historic building. The ambiance in this restaurant is great, friendly staff who really look after the customer- the service was A1.
The prices are on the higer side but the food is good quality.
Time your visit for the evening show if you can. It's around 8pm and great to watch over dinner.

The food is excellent and the service is just perfect. Waitresses and waiters are friendly and want the best for their clients. Also the show (20:30), where two swordsmen fight over a girl, is quite entertaining. I recommend this place and will be going back there any time.

Loved this place. Especially good for larger groups. Old style rooms on several floors and the servers wear old style dresses. And really good food. I would very much recommend the creamy smoked cheese soup.

The Peppersack Restaurant is a medieval themed restaurant located in Tallinn's old town in the immediate vicinity of the Town Hall Square in an interesting historical house. Try the wonderful grilled dishes which are prepared right before the guests’ eyes located at the basement. The house beer, which is made according to historical recipes are also praiseworthy.

I really recommend to take a look at this medieval restaurant if you visit old Tallin. They have excellent steaks and their beer is the best i have ever tasted! and occasionally they throw a sword dueling show to entertain visitors. 👌👍

Good location. Nice medieval atmosphere. Food ok, but nothing special. You pay for the show, not for the food. Friendly service

Awesome location, nice interiors and very neatly maintained. This place is a proper restaurant-grade in the old town. I settled in for a grill burger, bit pricey (15 eur) but OK considering the restaurant grade. The burger was very good except the fact that it had cold tomatoes (not a good option!), BBQ flavoured tomato ketchup for the fries was a nice touch! Overall, a very good restaurant close to the Old-town square (and next to the iconic medieval restaurant, Old Hansa).

Stopped in for some breakfast being one of the few nearby options I saw open on Sunday, and was happy that I did. Great pile of potatoes, meat, and eggs. Quick service and a cool rustic atmosphere. Grabbed some pastries on the way out that also turned out to be delicious.
