Our family of 5, including 3 teenage boys, loved Banos and La Posada del Arte. The location is perfect, quiet yet right close to the action in town, trails for hiking and the hot springs pools. We felt 100% safe but actually felt this way during our entire trip to Ecuador. Jim and the staff were excellent and attentive and we think room 10 was the best and quietest in the place. Our boys stayed in Rojo 2 which had two bedrooms, perfect for them. Breakfast was included and was over the top good. More than enough to fuel you for the day. Thank you Jim and staff!

The Trout in shrimp sauce is fantastic as are the burritos. The atmosphere is relaxing and the decor is beautiful. Highly recommended.

Had a great stay with Jim and Marsha. Rooms are simple but very clean and everything works! They are an easy walk to most of the city and on a nice side street that is quite at night. There is a beautiful waterfall just beyond the mineral bath that provides some nice white noise too.
The restaurant is worthy and the breakfast is excellent!response / report this review -

Very nice place with excellent breakfast. Sitting on the top floor or any balcony looking at the big waterfall, really relaxing. Everything bueno.

I loved this place.my daughters live in nearby Ambato, and when I visit them, we always come to Baños to stay. Last trip we stayed at La Posada del Arte, and fell in love with it. It's so peaceful and beautiful. Our room was close to one of the many waterfalls in the area, and the sound of it put us to sleep every night. The included breakfasts were some of the best we've had in Baños. I like this location because it's a little separated from the town and is therefore much quieter, though still an easy walk to anything we wanted to do downtown. Everyone, from the owners to the staff were friendly and helpful. We hated to leave, but will return another time I'm sure.

Amazing place. Owner Jim was of great help and all of the staff were great and helpful. The place is in best of shapes and really clean. It is a really great choice. We come from South Florida.

I was part of a group of 3 that stayed in room 8 which has a bunk bed space, a master bed space, and a private bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The master bed space has a large window that overlooks the patio and a large waterfall. The room included free breakfast which was incredible considering it is normally $6+, contained generous portions, and was exquisitely prepared. They were clean, had plenty of hot water, and great wifi. The staff was extremely friendly, responsive, and were able to communicate clearly in English and Spanish. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The walls were decorated with beautiful artwork. The 2nd and 3rd floors had outdoor patios filled with patio furniture and nice lighting. Not only was my experience perfect, but the price was so low I am temped to never leave.
