Minor power outage, a few city blocks had clearly gone out so I don't think there's anyone to blame. Excellent party. Service was amazing. The food was absolutely fantastic. The chicken was 5 star quality amazing.

I am extremely disappointed in writing this review; my fiance and I booked a date and got to the later stages of choosing our decor, menu, etc when I asked to negotiate the price of alcohol. Bego stopped answering my emails from that point on (about 1 month ago); I have sent numerous emails since then as well and have received no response. Every time I call the phone, I get a voicemail. I am assuming I lost my reception reservation and have to start from scratch planning at another facility?? This is extremely unprofessional and disheartening; I would have appreciated an answer back if negotiating was not allowed (which would still be ridiculous because negotiating has been done with all my friends who have had receptions in the US as well as other destinations!)

I am so fortunate to have found the best Wedding Venue in Punta Cana !
My wedding was on May 27th, 2017 and amazing is just an understatement !
I really took the time to write this review to express the gratitude I have for Kukua as a whole. Throughout the entire planning process, Bego (Director, your righthand, lefthand, heart, soul, ETC) whom is the wedding corridinator was a blessing from heaven.

She pays so much attention to detail which was much needed. Since I am living in Los Angeles and really needed her to facilitate a lot of the planning. She had to deal with me (groomzilla) and she took our vision of the wedding to another planet. NOT once did she overpower nor made it how she wanted BUT always wanted my input, every single step of the way.

Moreover, she was very trustworthy since I had to wire money for the event. Bego was on top of her communication skills, excellent !

Kukua's staff provided above exceptional service and went above and beyond my expectations. They were so attentive and provided the best service anyone can ask for. An eclectic mix of Dominicans and Venezuelans that will surpass any American's service and serving etiquette for both serving for fine dining.

The food quality is really important to both my family and my guests. You will eat nothing but the best at Kukua.

The location is gorgeous-- we used the entire venue and had a progressive event with the ceremony on the first floor, cocktail hour on the second floor, reception on the third floor and after party back on the first floor. People loved moving through the property and admiring the beautiful light fixures.

Our guests were treuly impressed because they had such a good time and till this day, are still telling us how amazing the event was. I still can't beleive nothing went wrong since I tend to lean more on the negative side. 0 REGRETS !

Okay food and service but pricey for this quality. Quantity didn't add up to match the price, 2,70 stars.

This place is the best place in punta cana to have your wedding. Bego goes way and beyond to try to make your special day perfect. My guests were blown away by everything; decorations, services, food. It was simply magical!! I wouldn't have changed a thing!

Used to be better the menu has changed and I think they got a new chef. Ordered a Cesar Salad and they served me iceberg lettuce! The dressing wasn't good either. Also ordered Durado. The fish was pretty good. The beach is nice and so is the atmosphere.

Great service, great option if your hotel isn't on the beach for the day by the pool. No charge for chairs, etc. Cocktails $6.5 (++), meals 10-30(high end is the lobster).

Minus: I expected bigger portions of food.

Kukua is the only access to arena gorda that remains.

We stayed a week in Punta Cana and didnt want to to a resort and we came across Kukua. We loved the place, food is tasty, i would recommend taking fish or shrimp rather than chicken which tended to be to dry in my friend's dish. Their beach/pool is just fabulous and we really enjoyed it. It's definately a gem in the area.

We happened upon kukua after being approached on the beach by someone promoting the restaurant. Sick of the resort buffet, we ventured there for dinner. The food was amazing as well as the ambience. We both enjoyed the white sangria. The Thai shrimp and rice was tasty and my husband enjoyed the pasta carbonara. This is truly a hidden gem nestled between two resorts.
