Amazing little hotel on a street next to Duarte Parque, just a handful of rooms. Beautifully furnished, albeit simple. Friendly staff.

Excellent choice if staying in the colonial zone in Santo Domingo. A house with centuries of history transformed into a cozy hotel. Specially loved the little terrace with a bar on the rooftop. Great location, close to parking lots, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, ATM, historical sites, the boulevard on the sea (malecón) and many other interesting things on zona colonial. Breakfast also quite good and included. Will be back

One of the most romantic places I've ever stayed, and I wasn't even there for romance! Great location just off the Conde, close to everything in the Zona Colonial. The rooftop terrace is a wonderful place to unwind after touring the museums and historic sites.

If you want a truly memorable experience, check in to El Beaterio, you may not want to ever check out!

My fiance and I chose El Beaterio for its location on a quiet street within the Zona Colonial and for its historic character. As we walked around the old city, the hotel was always within just a couple blocks, so we could stop back in whenever we wanted without having to go much out of our way. We were impressed by the staff's easy accommodation of all our requests. We found them to be friendly and approachable. The room was cozy and may have seemed small were it not for the attractive interior, open-air courtyard and rooftop sitting areas, which we enjoyed in the evening and in the morning (with the complimentary breakfast). We recommend this hotel to couples and solo travelers.
