I do not recommend this Resort. Customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Getting ready for a wedding, I asked for an iron and I had to wait 2.5 hours for it. The hallways had roaches and the food is nothing to brag about. Almost the entire “Garden” side of the Resort is under construction, our room had mold and don’t expect your room to be cleaned and linen changed out unless you call for it and wait for someone to show up to do so. WORST RESORT EXPERIENCE EVER!

We can start with the good things first. The beach is very clean the water is super clear and great for swimming. Plenty of shade provided and also beach chairs beach towels are provided as well pool is big and they're also Cabanas where you can hide from the Sun if need be. Rooms we're good must keep the air conditioner on high. Staff was very helpful and polite. Some negatives were the food. The food was cold and there wasn't that much selection throughout the days spent it was pretty much the same thing maybe one or two items were switched out. The drinks were very sugary and the alcohol was it generously provided in addition there wasn't much of a selection when it came to alcoholic beverages. There was a club in the hotel which was a good size however it wasn't too appealing. The casino at the hotel is small but that's where I had the most fun. The hotel lost power a few times but it was back on quickly

I just got back from Be Live Hamaca on Tuesday. I want to set the record straight. This is an older hotel, but the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I traveled VIP which I would highly suggest. I also stayed in the Presidential Suites which needed updating, but the view was amazing. The buffet is horrible. That is the only reason I would not give this place 5 stars. I also was lucky enough to have restaurant reservations for every night. Again. upgrade to VIP and you will feel the difference. The water is AMAZING. Did I say say AMAZING!!! :-D

I enjoyed my experience at Be Live Hamaca Beach, but it was apparent that we had to adjust our standards. The room was nice, but had a pungent musty smell. Fortunately, we were able to air it out and the AC worked great. The buffet was good (the coffee and fruit were amazing), but the Italian restaurant had the worst service I've ever experienced. The housekeepers were very helpful when we needed extra supplies.

Initially after reading many negative comments and 1 star, I was not happy with my decision of choosing this Resort for my Vacation.
But believe me this place is just awesome and full of positive vibes with people all around the world. My tidy room and room service is excellent, little glitch with language but since I uploaded google translate spanish so it definitely helped. Each night live show time Vegas style and fun with entertainment either at beach or pool or in the theatre, I am glad that picked this place. I have been to many AI package (Cancun, Cuba, St Lucia) but this is the best. Good buffet with many choices and 4 restaurants to pick each night just great.
Yes they try to sell time share or little local stuffs outside but one can always deny. Beautiful private beach and clean 3 pools, bars, snacks Just awesome.

The worst experience I have ever had at any hotel, let alone an “all inclusive” resort. We arrived to the resort around 9:00pm and were not even acknowledged. The check in process was unfriendly, non-welcoming and too slow. After we checked in we learned that the buffet had just closed and there was no other place to eat until 11:00pm. The rooms were filthy. The smelled wet, of mold and mildew. We asked to be relocated to another room and waited 3 hours. The room that we were relocated to was even more disgusting and LOUD! We got no rest. In the morning still exhausted, we went to the buffet around 10:30am to have breakfast and once again it was closed with no alternative location for food. We immediately checked out. This is supposed to be a 4 star resort? Not even close.

You have to be very careful which room you are booking. Most of the pictures of on specific rooms and specific places that only VIP guests are able to visit. The free Wifi they claim to provide would not even load an email page. There was only a few staff that were actually helpful they included Alexander and Wilton (the only helpful staff) would be whom I would go to. Also many of the staff members did not speak English if this is a problem for you. I have to say my stay there was somewhat pleasant. but if you have the option for getting a VIP experience I would do it. Although I would really choose a different resort to attend.

Hamaca Beach was a bit dissapointed, the rooms are out dated and are NOT what they show on the web. The buffet restaurant was very repetitively with their food choices and the taste or the way they prepare it was poorlyThe staff was courteous but laid back . The specialty restaurants we're good and the beach excellent. They do lack a bit of cleanliness a the beach area. The beach chairs were filthy but again the blue calm beach water made up for all of the above.

Love this resort! Been here three times all on the garden side. Its not a far walk. On the garden side you have the better pool and the buffet. I spend a lot of time at the beach which is perfect! Theres a disco and other entertainment. Excellent food. Cant wait to get back :D

Food was OK at the buffet, the A la Carte restaurants are a lot better. The beach is nice lots of nice restaurants on the beach and activities to do. The Hotel is pretty outdated but clean and well maintained, service from the staff was very good. I wouldn't suggest leaving the resort on foot to wander around unless you want to get harassed by lots of locals.

It doesnt even earn one star. The only thing positive about this place is the natural atmosphere of beach and sun. This place will make you soend your time on excursions to stay off of the "resort"The Gardenview suites are horrendous they resemble a homeless shelter. Even when we paid to upgrade to Oceanview we didnt have hot water in room, showerhead was broken, dirty linien on bed, place is old and outdated you cant even control the temp in your room. Dont waste your time!!!!!! The pictures they show are from the Presidential suites which is one section of the resortOh yeah the food was horrible. The buffet was a punishment if u had to eat there the food was always cold and the same things every day.

Worst experience ever, awful place, ugly rooms, two days i had to call because we have no water at bathroom. Bad food, full of drunk russians, ugly beach, dirty pools, it's like this people don't care at all. In the weekend the people from the town comes to hang out so you don't have any privacy and i can continue talking and talking. I don't recommend this place to anyone not even your worst enemy. I would never go back to any named be live place again, worst resort chain ever for sure.

Do not waste your hard earned money, the plant is really outdated. There is mildew on the rooms, the pillows smell like old sweat. On the other side the staff is bar none.

I recently went on a trip to Be Live Hamaca and it was the worst vacation experience I have ever had.
The resort (if you could even call it that) was dirty and falling apart - lacking the barest of necessities, the service was absolutely horrible and we were constantly being pestered to buy their vacation club package.

Below are some notes that I took while I was there, touching on the bad as well as the positive.

    Room:
Shower head was old and broken. (See photo)
Ceiling in shower was leaking and dripped foul smelling water on you as well as the ceiling above the vanity. (See photo).
No fitted sheet on the bed.
Mattress was a very very old spring mattress that made my back hurt significantly after just the first night.
Pillows were basically sewed up bags with cotton balls stuffed inside.

    Service:
Everyone was constantly trying to sell us something. They lied to us on more occasions than we could count. People are only nice to you when they want to sell you something, otherwise they treat you like garbage and act like you’re bothering them. The overall feel of the staff was cold and unwelcoming.

    Food:
    Poor buffet quality.
There was an abundance, it was displayed well and the cold food was cold and the hot food hot.
Not much variety and very little local cuisine.
    Best coffee I’ve ever had!
The “restaurants” they offer serve the same poor quality food as the buffet.

    Cleanliness:
Cockroaches on the buffet line, in the bathrooms and in the rooms.
    Mold on ceilings and walls.

    Beach & Pool:
Clear, warm water. Clean, plenty of chairs, adequate shade. Kid-friendly. Big pool with kiddie side.

    Bar:
    Good selection of drinks.
    Very unfriendly bar tenders.

    Hotel & Grounds:
Very run down and in disrepair. Mold, leaks and pieces of the ceiling falling down throughout entire premises.

NO TOILET AND NO PHONE in our room!!!
I stayed at the Hamaca in the middle of August. I invited two friends and I was so embarrassed to have them there. The room we got was extremely basic. Not even a chair to sit on. No closets. Broken drawers. And the worst part: the TOILET was broken and the maintenance man came every day to "fix it". We had to find public bathrooms to use. Also, no phone in the room. We spent many of our vacation hours walking to the guest desk to report the broken toilet (about three city blocks' distance). Our complaints fell on deaf ears. We got a cheap bottle of rum to compensate us for denying us of a basic human necessity. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. HORRIBLE RESORT. SHAME ON THEM!!!

We had a horrible experience from beginning to end. The staff mostly seemed like we were bothering them with our problems and some were even rude. We had to do a line for 22 minutes for us to get our keys and walk what seemed like a mile (including a pool of water in the hallway to get to our rooms as shown in the picture).

After getting to our rooms we noticed that the AC didn't work so we had to walk back to the lobby. When we went back to the room both key cards were deactivated so we had to wait for them to code them.

    But it wasn´t only that:
    *The shower was clogged.
    *The cable service wasn't working.
*The bed cover was full of dirt.
*We had to get a supervisor to get towels and soap for our room since there wasn't any when we got there and we tried calling customer service several times.
*After 2 trips to the lobby we found out that we would need to go to the lobby for the 3rd time to get towels since you don't get them unless you specifically ask for them(and for the first time in over 15 years going to resorts in this country I was told I had to pay a deposit if I wanted beach towels).

Bottom line is don't waste your money coming here, there are several resorts in the area that provide much better quality of service for a similar cost.

I usually don't go out of my way to post negatively, but this hotel absolutely takes the cake as the worst I've ever been to. From the bad front desk service at check-in to the deteriorating conditions inside the rooms, this 1-night stay couldn't have been any worse. The hotel is rated as a 3 to 3 1/2 star hotel depending on the source. However, after visiting there's no way this hotel can be rated higher than a 2. I arrived at the hotel for a late check-in near midnight. Despite no one else checking in at that time it took the front desk clerk over half an hour to check me in. Once he did, the room i was initially given is something you'd find at a $20 per night, run down motel in the middle of nowhere. The room had mold. Paint was peeling off the walls. Sheets had holes in them. Furniture was very dated and broken. A big, broken hole in the shower served as its drain. Mind you its past midnight now and when I call the front desk to notify them, it takes them 15 mins to come to my room to verify my complaints. After seeing what I see, they walk me to 4-5 other rooms to see if they are in better conditions but to my dismay they were all relatively in the the same plight. Running out of viable options I picked the best available and called it a night. Only good thing I found was the breakfast. I will never, ever visit this hotel again and I strongly recommend that you don't neither. Don't believe me, take a look at the pics I've included.

This resort has improved it's restaurants and buffet tremendously. For the price it's a good value for an all inclusive resort on the beach. The rooms still need some improvement but you can upgrade if you need a fancy room.

I am going to be completely honest with you, I went here two times and this is what I have to say:
The food, especially the dessert, is very great and amazing. The hotel is very unorganized. I had to change my room 5 times because the first room was occupied, and the other 3 were unacceptable, no AC, mosquito's, dirty bathroom, and dust mites. My last room was OK, the AC took a while to start but eventually it worked fine. The beach is the best part about the hotel. Be prepared for Russian tourists to hog up all the food at the buffet. Those Russian tourists are really rude and aggressive. I did enjoy the live shows and live music the hotel offered. But the customer service was terrible. I give it 2 stars for the beach and the food, and the live music and shows. if you don't like Russians, I suggest you don't go here.

The hotel resort is old and I would say it's 3 stars hotel and not 4 stars like they say. Be aware of fotos - they are old and rooms are much worse then on published pictures! There are cockroaches in rooms. The beach is way to small for so many people, so you hardly have any room to sunbath. It's also annoying getting offers on the beach to buy souvenirs, alcohol, drugs or even prostitutes! We bought all inclusive offer and they have bar on the beach were you have to pay everything - but they don't mention you that before reservation! Be also prepared on changing the room(s), as they have very damaged rooms! The only good thing here is a very good food, so that's only reason why I gave two stars for this review!!!

My husband and I just returned from a week at this resort. Although we generally had a good time, I felt it was not what was advertised to us. The food was very repetitive as its a buffet getting into one of the a la Cart restaurants was quite difficult. The buffet often had stray cats wondering around as well.
The check in process was a nightmare - many of the rooms were not ready at check in time (ours was), but it resulted in other guests jumping in line and yelling at the staff behind the desk and causing more delays for everyone.
The accommodations weren't great. The shower head was broken, The ceiling was leaking and the cleanliness of the whole room was questionable and had a musky smell.
The highlight of our trip was definitely the bartending staff as they went out if their way to make sure we had a great time! We were there to celebrate my birthday and They provided us with sparkling wine- which was a lovely gesture! Big thanks to the whole bartending staff - particularly Samuel who made our last day incredibly enjoyable!
It was advertised as a 4 star resort but definitely did not think it deserves that rating.

Very unorganized, poor customer service, room had very poor water pressure and little hot water.
Make sure your reservations are accurate, they make your life difficult, Asked to talk to the Manager , He did not show up nor there was any interest in solving our problems, promised ocean front rooms and were given garden view rooms. There were no elevators for these rooms.
The resort has a Buffet, however try and get into any other restaurant good luck
Beech towel deposit is $ 20.00 per towel. This resort is more geared for the East European market, they push below standard service to the unsuspecting travelers who have traveled for 10 hours to get there.

The beech was amazing, clean and inviting.
