Overall nice resort, good was good, drinks are okay, room service needs to be improved. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beach is small and needs to be cleanedrooms are very nice and well kept. Grounds of resort is clean and well kept. Needs more shops, lots of vacant buildings gas here- unusual

We had a very large hotel room featuring 2 bed rooms, a living room, and 2 bathrooms, one of which we didn't find until our second or third day here. Our room had a patio which had stairs down to the pool which was very nice.

Staff were friendly, and there is a decent selection of places where you can eat around the complex and area.

Employee's are great and resort is clean. Had one issue that never got resolved the 6 days we were there and was over promised and undelivered. Communication is something they need to work on and probably why they went through a $400 million dollar debt restructure. Have a great time if you go.

Huge and beautiful accommodations and pool. Great food and beverages. Not crowded. This is NOT a beach resort, or even waterfront although you can walk to the ocean in 10 minutes. If you don't need sand between your toes, it is a wonderful place to stay for a week, or for the winter.

We had a great time! Friendly staff. Fun activities. Loved the morning stretches with Linda - she radiates joy! She also led exercise time in the pool in the afternoons which was fun and a great way to meet others. ("Hey, I'm from Ontario too!")

Everything was fine till I had some of my clothes got stolen! This is totally unacceptable! The hotel management didn't do nothing about it, they just don't care! I'm not talking about some 10$ tank top, but nice trendy stuff. However this is disgusting and not to be tolerated!

(copying my notes on Fishing Village as they're the same thing more or less)

Good location, high-quality accommodation and great swimming pools but lacks a decent beach. Running below capacity hence a bit ghost-towny with not many restaurants. Food quite basic and expensive - all inclusive deal not great as an add-on to AirBnB but you may find good deals including accommodation. Very friendly but erratic service. Cordoned off from rest of island so very safe but also isolated.

Most staff are great, some need training, including the Chief Concierge Nicarious Polanco. I've stayed here in the past and had a very good experience. Too bad they couldn't duplicate. I wish we had the same staff. Among many issues, our unit had bedbugs. Not only were we basically ignored when we reported it and not moved to another room, but we were offered a discount for a future trip when this trip's major issue wasn't properly addressed. I didn't pay close to $7000 for bedbugs & other issues. Ms. Polanco's interactions with us was insulting. We won't be returning to any AlSol property because of the way this was handled by her. We do extend a huge THANK YOU to Inocencio & Rafael (the bellman) who have consistently provided exceptional service on both of our stays there.

They have a lovely facility but the A/C in the room doesn't really work well, need better signage for rooms, the onsite and nearby beaches are horrible (dirty water and lots of sea weeds) and the pool water was hot like bath water. Not refreshing at all within the month of July!

The only thing I liked from this resort was, the apartment it was big and nice the food was not good the bar by the pool closed at 6p and the pool, no entertainment at all you will have to walk to the next resort to watch some lame entertainment both resort the food are nasty you will not find any Plato tipico or a national Dominican food at that place there is no beach on site , the alsol tiara has a fake beach lol cant swim in there the beach is like 5 minutes away but be ready you will have to pay for food and drinks plus if you would like to have a cover spot other wise you spot will be under the sun lol the activities are expensive and tiredness anyway I can go on but this are just some of the things I experienced at this resort I will not visit again very disappointed.

Absolutely loved this resort! Me and my friend went at the beginning of February and we both had no complaints. The staff was very friendly at the front desk, the rooms were beautiful! Could not believe how big they were. The food was so so good. I would recommend the Mexican restaurant as well as the Italian a la carte. It is a quieter resort, with two main pools, one is the louder pool one is quieter. It is a perfect place to go if you want a quiet relaxing vacation which is what we wanted. Do not go here if you want to party all week and want to be around a lot of people, it is more of a relaxed place to go which was perfect for what we wanted. The drinks and bar service was great. The free wifi in the lobby works well and you are able to get wi-fi all over the resort for $12 a day. Only ten minutes from the Airport which is very convenient. Overall a great experience and i would definitely go back!

The day I was checking out, I left my tablet charging in the room were I spent 5 days, the cleaning service crew knocked the door to double chek if we were still there. I left the room at 11:50 Am and was in the lobby until 2:40 PM and the person that went to clean the room didn't have the decency of returning the tablet that I left by mistake. When I realized that I left my tablet they said there was nothing in the room but my find my phone app showed the location. The hotel didn't do anything to get my device back So I will never recommend this place , I feel like I spent all this money and they stole from me

Super large suites, with kitchenette. Very nice walkable village. Felt a bit of a ghost town initially but a very comfortable resort. Only downfall is its lack of an on-site Beach. You can either use a very small Beach at their sister resort "Tiara" or they will shuttle you to a large private beach about 15 minutes away.
