So when i finally got here (after a 4 and a half hour drive) I check in. Go to my room to find it has been used before I got there. Tried to call the reception which didn't pick up. Then I went down there complaining. Got a new room and receptionist apologizing. New room is nice. Same as the other just not used. Clean and nice overall. I like the room and the hotel, but the first experience takes a star away for me.
A very good hotel. Close to bus and train - so easy to get into middle of Copenhagen. Service at hotel is really good- room's are nice and the breakfast is huge - delicious and a good variety- even a goid vareity in the allergic section! I recommend it!
There are two wings in it. We were first given the old room and we didn't like it at all. We then shifted to the new wing and the rooms over there were fabulous. Liked the breakfast as well. But it didn't change over our stay. Same dishes for our 2-3 days of stay.
Som det skal være.
This was my Second stay at the Scandic Sydhavnen and it has only gotten better. The staff is charming, Friendly's and helpful. The rooms are pretty basic but they are pretty roomy for European standards. The location is less than ideal, but I'm learning to embrace the distance from the city center as it gives me the opportunity to explore less touristic areas. The hotel is also close to the airport but a cab ride will still cost you around $60. There are bikes for rent and a metro station within walking distance.l from the hotel. The number of bikes are limited but you can also find city bikes at the metro station.
Room was not very modern, and the bathroom wasn't the most pleasant to use. But everything was clean and functional, the staff were friendly, and the location is very conveniently close to the Sydhavn train station.
The hotel staff could not have been more informative and helpful here, showed us exactly how to get to the points of interest we wanted to see along with making sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The rooms were incredibly clean and spacious. Location of the hotel was nice too, not too far from the central city or malls. Highly recommend staying a night or week here
Good functional hotel with free parking in easy reach (a couple of stops on the train) from the centre of the city. We had a large room which comfortably accommodated two adults and two children. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast buffet extensive. But, the bathroom could do with a lick of paint. It's designed as a wet room and with the powerful shower the whole floor was quickly wet.
This is exactly what I expect from a 4 star hotel on a business trip. Compared to other Scandic hotels this one really stands out. Everything is just perfect. The bar area is really cosy and comfortable and the rooms are nice and clean. I'd visit again.
Good breakfast, clean bathroom and bedroom, but both a bit outdated. In an unattractive part of the city, but close to Sydhavnen train station. No minibar or safe in the room.
Standard (good) Scandic experience. Convenient Circle K service station over the road for drinks and snacks, etc.
We have used this hotel for family weekend getaways, several times now and seam to come back.. :) It is not walking distance from Copenhagen city center, but by train you can get there in 15 minutes. The price is good and the hotel restaurant is child friendly and the quality is good, I really like this place!
Superb hotel, with fast check in at the desk. Everything just works light, easy and well done. Breakfast was stunning. Coffee is a great one with a strong taste, great selection of bread and cereals including variations of yoghurts. There was plenty of continental food and juices.
Rooms are nice with a lot of equipment, ironing, hair dryer and the most necessary things.
Little minus is the twin beds, that should be replaced with a double bed. They tend to move away from each other during the night and make a gap between.
I will definitely be visiting it again next time.
