We booked in for 1 night , having to leave at 3.30 am to get our flight home to London (so cant comment on the breakfast). It was really cheap for accommodation, 11.50 Euros each, and you got a free drink at the excellent bar (with roof top view of the city). Staff were exceptionally helpful, and there was a real buzz of friendly information exchange from other customers. The location was within energetic walking distance of the main attractions (of which there are many in Berlin), and a U2 station (Rosa Luxembourg) is 150m away.

Good location, really close to train and tram so very easy to get around, nice bars / cafes / Shops around. I did find that it was rather quite and nothing much was going on. The bar upstairs and the foyer were just really dull places to hang out. The staff didn’t seem to have many recommendations for local places but were accomodating otherwise. The rooms were fine but were dirty and a bit gross. Enjoyed my stay overall but wouldn’t go back.

When i visited Wombat’s Vienna, i told them while Wombat’s Berin has its form in English predominantly, why do you guys need to have it in German?
1. Good natured staff
2. Good location - eateries, metros around
3. Clean rooms with good view
4. That hangout zone near reception is super cool

Lots of great places to eat around the hostel, very close to a metro station, and friendly, knowledgeable staff! There's a bar upstairs with a cool ambiance (and a pool table :-)) The only complaint would be that water would leak out onto the floor during / after a shower and pool on the floor. We had to step around the water until the rooms were cleaned the next day -- could be solved by putting in a drain or fixing the shower doors! Overall, hostel is well connected to the main attractions in Berlin and has a lot to offer!

ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED. Amazing location, super close to tram, bus and U train stops!! I explored the whole city easily. Super clean and comfortable beds. The neighborhood is super hip lots of cool boutiques and stores as well as eateries! 100% recommended.

The bar of the hostel is good and cheap during the happy hours (beers 0,5L for 2,5 euro) and it is located on the roof top of the building. The main feature is the terrace with a wonderful view on the center of Berlin!

Stayed in a six bed room with friends. There was plenty of space (lockers and a small table). Bathroom was good, with powerful shower. Bar on floor 7 played chart music and was cheap (about €3.50 for a single spirit and mixer). It was nicely busy on the Saturday night, but not too crowded. Would definitely recommend :)

Great service, great bar and breakfast, the pillow isn't nice to sleep on (grab two if you can) but the bathroom is nice and has everything you need.

Was very hospitable. Lots of young people if you want to socialize with a bar on the top level to start or end your night. Room and washrooms were clean. Would recommend.

It was a good place for a long weekend. We had two beds in a 4 bed dorm. Our beds were around a corner from the other two so it felt pretty private. The lockers were big and we had our own bathroom which I've never seen in a hostel (usually there is one big bathroom for the floor). Free bedding was awesome and we borrowed a power converter from reception for free (just left a deposit) which was so handy. All in all I was totally satisfied
