Great staff and beautiful facilities. The room was a king bed and pull out sofa.

Old charm hotel with decent size rooms. The staff is very friendly and multi ethnic. Can speak a bunch of languages along with German. The breakfast spread is very good too.

This hotel is one of the best places to stay in Munich. The staff was really nice and did a great job accommodating us during our stay. It's right near the train station and is also near downtown where you can find many great places to eat and drink.

We originally booked a week stay at this hotel but because of poor management & loud disturbances, we checked out early. The first morning of our stay, I was woken up at 8:30am by loud drilling in the room nearby. I called the front desk - they assured me that the drilling would end in a few minutes and it was only for this day. I told her to be sure to pass this along to the manager that it's unacceptable to be drilling at this morning time. Well, the drilling lasted throughout the entire day and you could hear it down the hallway. I called back to the front desk - she had no idea it was still going on, so she offered me a complimentary breakfast for that day (breakfast buffet wasn't great and wouldn't be worth the 17 euros anyways). The next morning, drilling at 10am. Then the following morning, I was woken up again by the loudest drilling sound (it was next door) at 8:30am. It was so loud that we took a video to capture the volume. We phoned to talk to the manager and this is where it got worse. Instead of apologizing, pushing the drilling maintenance to a later time in the day or moving us to a new room, the manager (Valentino) argues with us and justifies why it's ok to do this maintenance in the morning. When I asked "Do you think it's reasonable for a 4 star hotel guest to have a quiet, peaceful morning?", he answered "I partly agree." SERIOUSLY??? The core of a hotel business is so that guests can have a relaxing stay that they pay 4 star amount for - it's not a construction site. Then the Valentino the manager, downplays our concerns and says - It's not MAJOR construction and we're the only ones complaining. Well, the drilling happens to be next door to us so it's understandable that it's disruptive to us. Our video will show how loud it was! UNACCEPTABLE. I would understand if they apologized and stopped this disruptive management decision to drill but they were justifying their POOR SERVICE. I don't think they understand how to deliver quality customer service and experience - the very least, is a quiet stay. If there were guests making this volume of noise, they would be informed to stop. So why is it ok for a scheduled, purposed loud disturbance over multiple days? I would never stay here ever again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone due to their bad service.

Beautiful room. Nice paintings. Good location. Awful selection of food. We were in Germany, and there were no German dishes on the menu.

The hotel itself was nice, good location and comfortable. I rated it as 2 stars because the cleaner knocked very softly on my door around 0815 and unlocked my door and walked into my room. As a solo female traveler I can say I always double lock my door and was absolutely shocked and horrified to have a random man walk into my room as I walked to the door. He didn't identify himself and just walked away. I felt very unsafe as I had NO idea who he was or why he was walking into my room! I watched him through the peep hole walking the hallway and knocking on other doors. I quickly showered (locking the bathroom door) and was packing my things up when a nock came at the door again and he once again tried to enter my room. I asked him loudly who he was and what he was doing and all he said was "clean room". One would expect that the hotel would have the cleaning staff begin cleaning closer to actual checkout time not hours prior! I gathered my things and left. I reported what happened to the front desk when I was leaving and was told "oh sorry, I'll talk to him about that" REALLY?! That's it? A random man walked in to my room while I was in bed!! Not impressed at all, so be aware that people who work at the hotel may enter your room, the double lock doesn't do anything either, so I question how well the safe works :/
