The hotel is very near to bus station, which takes you to Heumarkt in 2 stops. Also 10 min walk to metro station. Our room was very clean, but heating was not so much effective. Hot water was available 24 hours. Staff was helpful and friendly. Recommend everyone.

Novotel has a granted quality belonging its name, clean, modern and above average. Amenities are limited, free tea bags and coffee. There are no slippers, very limited shampoo&conditioner, air conditioner is noisy, free internet is slow. Yet rooms are clean, spacious (we stayed 3 people in one room), warm.
The place is very close to both bus station (3min) and underground station (7min, can be accessable with also the bus) to Heumarket. Breakfast is a bit expensive for a continental breakfast.
Late arrival is possible, there is always someone at reception. Also consider city tax when you're reserving a room.response / report this review -

A really nice hotel with clean, large rooms at a good price. The hotel looks modern and is conveniently located near the city centre which is easily walkable. The hotel restaurant is also very nice and well decorated with good food at a reasonable price for Novotel standards. The only reason it doesn't get a full five stars is because the lobby/reception area is kind of small.

Good hotel. 15 minute walk from the DOM along water front but some distance from train stops about 5 mins. Clean hotel. Good bar. Breakfast is 19 euro per person. We went the bakery. Cheaper.

The location is close enough to the city centre that you can walk everywhere. The rooms are nice and clean, and have everything you need. The air-conditioning is subpar, it hardly cools the room. Otherwise great price quality ratio.

I had a very enjoyable stay at the Novotel. The room was super tidy, modern, well equipped with outlets, lights, desk and sofa. The bathroom was equally modern and clean, no chips/cracks anywhere to see. The front desk staff (Anke) was super helpful and forthcoming, even offering me an umbrella when she noticed I wanted to go out for dinner and it was raining - I didn't even have to ask! The sauna /wellness / fitness area was nice as well. Whenever I will be in Cologne again, this will be my hotel.

Walking distance from centre yet close to A3. Clean and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. I would certainly recommend.

Within walking distance of everything you could need. Modern architecture across the street. A bridge right down the road with a pedestrian sidewalk that will give a good view of the sunset.
