This is the best value for money you can find. It is modern, stylish, with a great breakfast and lovely staff. They really think about their guests needs. The lack of elevator is a small problem the bigger one are the works going on just outside the hotel. It is very noisy and spoils the quiet of the place. It is not their fault but it will take at least a year till it will end.

A terrific place to stay in Cologne. It is centrally located and within walking distance to the Cathedral, museums, and the Rhine river walk but on a side street, which means it is removed from the crowds. The staff is excellent--professional and caring with a sense of humor. The furnishings and fixtures are tastefully and thoughtfully chosen. The breakfast was delicious. We loved our stay in Cologne and staying at Stern am Rathaus was one of the reasons why.

Imagine you woke up after a tiring day, the first thing you saw was a big smile so tender and sweet, followed with delicious food. Could your day be any better?

This is my experience at Stern am Rathaus. The location, the staff, the room, are all top-notch! Definitely recommended!

Wonderful hotel right in the middle of Cologne. The bedrooms are comfortable (especially the beds!) with a very clever use of space which made our room feel much larger than it actually was.
The breakfasts are brilliant - everything home-made. We particularly appreciated the bread and butter + coffee is good and strong.
Nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly and efficient staff.
I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and would love to come and stay again. 2 nights were definitely not enough!

We were warmly welcomed. Our room was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities. I really liked that they had electrical plugs for other countries, so we did not have to use an adaptor to charge our electronics. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really great. The parking was close - a bit tricky to get to because of road construction blocking off the most direct route. Hotel location was very convenient (5 minutes) to the cathedral and shopping areas. Would highly recommend and would stay again if I am in Cologne.
