The Cologne Marriott has a lot of things going for it. First is that it's just a short walk away from the S-train, making commuting extremely easy. Second is it's proximity to the Cathedral. Finally the have an excellent breakfast buffet which offers more than anyone could ask for. My only drawback is that you have to talk through the lobby to get to the exercise equipment. Overall it's a great hotel to stay at while in Cologne.

Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms, beautifull hotel. The gym has heavy enough dumbells for a good workout. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. Would recommend it to anyone.

Very close to the train station. The Room was very clean and comfortable and we were able to check in early. The restaurant was also very good.

A phenomenal hotel in the heart of Cologne with close access to the central hub and the cathedral. The staff are friendly and speak excellent English (they can tell you're not German). The rooms are clean and the hotel provides a free internet package (with Marriott rewards card acceptance). Great hotel fitting of a great city.

The good: Friendly staff, large, nicely A/Ced rooms and an awesome complimentary executive lounge for Marriott platinum members with excellent breakfast, beer and coffee.

The bad: Rooms feel a little dated and could use some renovation but I’m being quite picky when I say that. They’re not run-down by any means, but a fresh carpet and some new drapes would really freshen the place up. The parking garage is also incredibly tight. I did see folks getting mid size SUVs down there (BMW X5 etc) but it must have been a heart stopping experience. I was driving a Mercedes E-class which is a full-size sedan and it was very tight. Compared with the Marriott Courtyard which has a modern garage that may be a consideration if you drive a larger vehicle.

Nice hotel close to train station Very important : around the corner is a carnival shop : don't miss! Hotel is comfortable and quiet! Location is great!

Great location within minutes to the cathedral. Price was very reasonable for an upscale hotel. Staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

The location near the hauptbanhof was great, and I liked staying on this side of the train station because there were less touristy places. Service was great. The only downside was the layout of the hotel and my room location made me have to walk very far in the hotel to get to my room. The beds were great and the room size adequate.
