Friendly modern hotel with good breakfast. Main disadvantage is the location which is mostly good if you're visiting one of the fairs or possibly attending an event at the nearby arena. Otherwise, you'll have to get to the other side of the river or at least to the centre of the Deutz district which is not difficult thanks to nearby train station and tram stops but a bit limiting because even just to eat outside of the hotel there's not any options available within walking distance unless you want to dine at a different nearby hotel.
Convenient location close to the exhibition and public transport. Very nice employees, good breakfast with dedicated egg station. Room was very spacious with large windows, unfortunately a bit worn (carpet could use a cleaning) and smelled of old cigarette smoke. What is weird is that there was a non-smoking sign in the room and basically next to it was an ashtray.
Very expensive hotel with low quality of the rooms. Very bad and soft bed. After 2 nights I must go for massage. Average breakfast is more expensive than then dinner in the hotel.
I always insist on staying in this hotel any time that I get to visit this great city. Why? The staff.
You may find nicer rooms but you cannot get any better staff. (Rooms are still fine) In particular Sebastian who has worked in the lobby bar for around 7-8 years and the recently joined, Marcel. This review is November 2017, just in case it is not listed. Service, knowledge, friendly, professional, welcoming, I trust the GM views this and rewards these guys. It was the service from Sebastian shortly after he started here, that made sure I returned.
After a day in the city or business at an expo it is comforting to know that great food and service is assured.
Must compliment the restaurant staff also. Front desk are welcoming and helpful always.
My only dislike is that I don't like the huge pillows, everyone does though. But the rooms are spacious.
Perfect location for the Messe, easy access to town by train. Taxis outside always. Petrol station and shop about 30 meters away.
Very stylish ans modern hotel. The room was quiet and spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Happy to come back again!
Lovely hotel, friendly staff. Location fantastic for Messe.
Rooms are warm, AC not working. Beds are hard as a rock. The shower is in a bathtub, not so nice. Staff is friendly.
It's within walking distance to the train station which is one stop away from the city. Wifi here is good. The staff are nice and the facility are tidy. Though the bathroom can be cleaner and the selection of food in the restaurant is a bit limited.
Comfortable place. Nice and spacious room. Good breakfast; service could be better. Outside Cologne center; surrounding is not agreeable. Well connected to the center town.
The location is just outside the centre cathedral area but a 10 minute comfortable walk from the station and only one stop on the metro line and you are in the centre. It made for a fairly good night's sleep as the area is quiet at night.
Hotel is very modern as expected from a Radisson Blu but staff were friendly and the rooms are a good size. I had a business room which included a nespresso machine with 3 types of coffee and also toiletries by This Works including an amazing pillow spray. The beds only come with one pillow so I called reception to request more and there they were waiting for us in the evening. Only downside was the design of the shower which is on the side of the bath and not at the end, so you had to angle the shower to the end of the bath but it just ran off down the corner and over the floor. Something they will definitely have to adjust as I had to hold the shower head to get the job done.
Breakfast was the best I have seen in a long time and located market style on a long banquet table. Hot food cam be made to order although there were boiled and poached eggs, bacon and pancakes already available. Great healthy choice of cereals and smoothies, with slice your own smoked salmon.
