Too many beds sharing a common bath/kitchen. Even though it was said 8-bed dorm - was given a 12 bed dorm. With possibility of 12 people using the bath - very likely you won't like the state of it after some time. Lockers were limited. Good location. Good WiFi. Good Staff.
I didn't have a reservation to stay here, but they hooked me up on the spot. I stayed in a mixed bedroom and everything was just fine. The shower was hot and the bed was comfortable. Luggage storage really helped.
It is quite equipped with a kitchen in the room (honestly it can be a plus or a down side). The value is really good for the 11 euros I have paid. It is an excellent location.
One of the rooms faces the common area used for breakfast, so this might be a problem for late light sleepers.
It's nice. Beds are clean. Very close to the station. Hostel Owner is nice and can direct you to the nice locations within Prague.
Very nice staff, great placement in relation to the Main train station. Had a neat room with shared bathroom and a big balcony overlooking the city. Very recommendable
As hostels come it was good. The rooms were a good size and the staff were friendly, the beds were surprisingly very comfortable and the shower was also very good. There is quite variety of rooms, all being quite different. We stayed in two different rooms and both were good. I was very happy with the location as well being pretty close to everything including the tram stops.
Pros of this hostel: large, spacious rooms and a great location, close to a tram stop and the subway station. Cons: BED BUGS! We were in Prague a week ago, staying at Hostel Rosemary as leaders with a group of university students. One of our students woke up after our first night there with his arm covered in bed bug bites. When we talked to the front desk worker, he said that they had had a problem with bed bugs and had exterminated recently and told us to tell him if we saw any more. We should have moved immediately but didn't know the city, and the reservation had been made for us by someone else. My husband, son, and I were staying on a different floor and didn't notice any bites while we were there (though the room did not feel particularly clean, plus our shower was broken and leaking), but the bugs apparently came home with us because we are now--back in Germany--waking up with bites every morning. It put a huge damper on our time with guests from abroad, as we were so afraid of sending them home with bed bugs, and we had to bring in an exterminator and cancel plans with another overnight guest. Not to mention that we and our little boy are covered in red, itchy bites. Dealing with the problem has been an enormous waste of money, time, and energy, and I am incredibly frustrated with Hostel Rosemary for not being more proactive about this and dealing with this problem in a more professional manner. If you know that you have a bed bug problem, PLEASE SHUT DOWN YOUR HOSTEL UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS TAKEN CARE OF AND NOTIFY YOUR CUSTOMERS BEFORE THEY STAY THERE.

We should have moved immediately but didn't know the city, and the reservation had been made for us by someone else. My husband, son, and I were staying on a different floor and didn't notice any bites while we were there (though the room definitely did not feel sanitary, plus our shower was broken and leaking), but the bugs apparently came home with us because we are now--back in Germany--waking up with bites every morning as they spread in our apartment. It has turned into an absolute nightmare, as we have guests from out of the country staying with us this week and are terrified of sending bed bugs home with them as well as scared of taking them back to our home in the U.S., and we are expected to host our students weekly for meals and class sessions but feel like we cannot have anyone over. I am incredibly angry with Hostel Rosemary for not being more proactive about this and dealing with this problem. If you know that you have a bed bug problem, SHUT DOWN YOUR HOSTEL UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS TAKEN CARE OF AND NOTIFY YOUR CUSTOMERS. This is literally doing hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars in damage to us, as the guest staying here next week will have to pay to stay elsewhere and we will have to have all kinds of things treated. Not to mention that we and our little boy are covered in red, itchy bites. Hostel Rosemary has basically ruined our lives for the time being and completely upended our time with guests visiting from abroad. I HATE this hostel and would like to throttle the management who did not deal with this issue professionally. Perhaps when they have bed bugs themselves, they will discover what a living hell it is.
Very nice hostel to stay at as a traveler. Location is close enough to the New and Old city centers without being too close. Staff are nice and speak English. Towels and linens are provided and cleaned daily, which is a big plus. Definitely recommend!
Bed Bugs! Don't go there!
I stayed in hostel rosemary for 1,5 weeks and after a few days my whole body got bites from bed bugs. I showed them the personal but they acted like they didn't know what is going on. The problem is they know that they have a bed bugs problem! They gave us a new apartment after 1,5 weeks and they promised us that there are no bed bugs. The first thing we found in the room when we came in was one bed bug sitting on the bed. We couldn't sleep there! My whole body was itching and we were staying the last night in our "new" apartment awake in the kitchen. On the next morning we told the personal that we have found more of them. They didnt believe us. They said that I have brought them in but that's a lie. Our teacher was sleeping next to us in another apartment and she also got bitten. All of the apartments are full with bed bugs you can't even stay there one night without getting bites of them. It's also sad that no one came to us to say sorry. They only discussed with us and laughed about our "problem". If you plan a trip to hostel rosemary, take another hostel. They know that they have a bed bugs problem but they don't solve it. They let new people check in by knowing that they get bites. If you google "bed bugs hostel rosemary" you can read so many posts about people who had bed bugs after sleeping in this hostel. You can read from people out of 2008, 2011, 2013,,2016 and also 2017!!
Nice and clean. Nearby the central station and city centre
Reception was informative. There's an elevator. Plenty of Windows in the 6 bed room I stayed in. Bathroom was good, imagine regular house bathroom I guess. Prague is small so the location is good. Reception let us leave our bags with them even after we had checked out.
