In a little village perched precariously high on a hillside in the Troodos mountains, the hotel is small, our room was small and missing some amenities (no hairdryer) and the small bathroom when we first arrived smelled a little of drains. From the outside the hotel looks a little ramshackle. So why the five stars? Well, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, did their best, and the experience was worth the inconveniences. The restaurant is popular with locals, who gather there Saturdays to watch football on two TV screens. The food is good and the menu varied. Breakfast is a vast feast, far more than we could hope to do justice to. All perfectly cooked and fresh. The roads to the village were alarming - sheer drop below and unstable cliff above. There were rocks on the road that had clearly fallen from above. In places the tarmac is not wide enough for two vehicles to pass each other and there are many hairpin bends as the road snakes around the mountain. Incredibly, in May, we drove through a hailstorm, so for a while we were driving on ice which added to the drama. Pedoulas village is 1100 metres above sea level, higher than the peak of Snowdon in the UK. It is MUCH cooler up here than in the coastal resorts. Our room was clean and there was plenty of hot water. The view from our room was spectacular, the mountains are well worth a visit.

Everything is very clean with helpful staff. Standing room view. We had meze for dinner which is highly recommended. Hotel is 8 min drive to Goast Hotel and also short drive to Troodos ski center and hiking district (artemis trail). (It was great for the price we paid, not luxurious)

Terrible not fresh chicken and far not the best pieces of beef. No spices on food at all, tasteless.

Their lamb is done to a turn, well seasoned, and exceptionally tasty. I cannot say the same about spaghetti carbonara, probably the sauce is not well balanced, I don't know. Anyway, I have liked that I have eaten.

People were friendly but food was bad. The mixed meat kebab had a smell of old pork/sheep fat. The chips were soaked with oil and lumpy. We felt sick of this food the next day. Don't eat here!

I thoroughly recommend the restaurant of this hotel, which a friend & I passed at about 21:00 EET in May 2015. I recommend it - for quick service, excellent food & all at a very good price. The service was wonderful & also quickly provided. It is one of the best places we have eaten in Cyprus. It is friendly, clean & the meals were very substantial, with trimmings also provided, & a plate of winderful fresh fruit for afters. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We will definately come here again, & we will bring a friend also - who is a person of good taste & high standards. So this restaurant was perfect!

Staying at this hotel was the best experience i`ve ever live. On my next visit to Pedoulas, i`ll definitely go back there.
