Lovely hotel with a relaxed, old world charm in a quiet town. Great view from the balcony and outside bar seating. I imagine it would be very cosy when the fire is on. Shower was a little hot and cold at times. Wi-Fi reception good in our room. A great base to explore the area from. The Kalidonia Falls is very near; it took us only a couple of hours to walk to the falls and back with a 5 month old in tow and a stop for picnic. Only a short drive to Troodos and Omodos, both worth a visit. The walk back up hill from the village is fun after dinner and a beer :)

The oldest hotel in the area as far as I know. Breakfast below average. Small rooms, renovation needed. Not a bad place to spend few days if you are keen on "old stuff and everything here is history".

Very bad hotel. not clean. Very weak water streem in the Bath room. Terible food and breakfast. not even fresh bread . horoble coffee. no air condition and very very hot between 10:00 - 19:00. the area is very nice.

The hotel is high up in the Troodos Mountains amongst the pine trees and overlooking a valley. the main village of Pano Platres is 15 minutes walk down the road. The hotel is retro styled, with lots of wood panelling and old-fashioned items on display. The rooms are clean, simple, very large, some with a mezzanine lounge, most have balconies, and all have en suite bathrooms. The beds could have had thicker mattresses, but otherwise the rooms are great. The staff are very friendly and both George and Nikos are at hand to arrange things, and ensure the brandy-sours are on tap. The food is traditional Cypriot style, with plenty of salads, meats and fruits. A huge terrace/ balcony runs along the side of the hotel where the view through the pines across the valley is priceless. At night and in the morning you are woken by the sound of bird song and fresh smell of pine, thyme and sage wafting up from the valley.
