Not worth the money. Villa Sotavento apartments are all scattered around Acuazul hotel, were clients are supposed to have their meals and drinks. You may end up staying 2 or 3 blocks away from the hotel AND the beach.
The so-called "beach bar" is one block away from the beach and only carries piña colada. That means that if you are at the beach and want to have a beer, you have to walk 3 blocks to the hotel and then come back (with a already warm beer ). It seems such an insignificant detail, compared to the beauty of the beach. However, it is quite disappointing when your goal it's just to be comfortable and relax at the beach.
For the same money, you can find much better options. I don't recommend it.

It was a last minute booking to Cuba, very good price, so I took it. At first the Villa they gave me was really horrible. The main hotel building was totally booked. Finally they changed me to another villa and it was the best. Clean, nice shower, great room service.
The food after the 3rd day is boring. Lots of pork, beef (when they have it) is not that great. Salads are ok. Breakfast is average.
Overall I'd recommend it if you want to stay cheap!
Propre, 3 petites piscines, bon repas buffet avec cook, tout inclus. Hall petit mais sympa. - Rencontré ami pour visiter et manger. mais pas dormi.
