Starfish was a nice resort. Nothing fancy. The beach was beautiful. The entertainment was nice.The rooms were clean. The only negative I would say was the food. Food was not good.

This resort is amazing! We went for a week in March and had a great time! The weather was good, the food was good ( lots of selections ) the people were so friendly and helpful and the rooms are nice especially if you have an ocean view! There is a little market close to the resort that you can even visit! Will definitely be going back and would recommend!

Yes you may purchase beer at the airport before you catch your bus to the resort. Also I believe the store sells beer amongst other things you may keep in your fridge. Great staff. Very friendly and lovely people.

This was a great resort. The beach is breath taking the pool is gorgeous! The people were so friendly and welcoming. Would have given 5 stars but the rooms could be updated and would have loved some cold beverages in our fridge ;)

Big resort with lots of bungalows spread throughout. Lobby is nice and large, and is busy throughout the day, especially at night. Lobby bar is busy. Food is just ok. Pool is big. Beach is beautiful and can get busy during peak periods. Staff are friendly. Close walking proximity to the town plaza.

The beach was amazing!! Sand so fine and soft! This was my first time travelling and I loved it. The food however was not very tasty. There were many options to try so needless to say I didnt starve. I would go back in a heartbeat! Tropical countries have bugs!! Get used to it, or stay in the cold, your choice!

Starfish Cayo Santa Maria is a beautiful resort that brings authentic Cuban culture and modern culture together to create a one of a kind experience. The staff are friendly, funny and know how to have a good time. The resort is located conveniently on the beautiful white sands of the Atlantic and the view is just surreal. If you bought a vacation package through a Canadian airline, food, drinks and entertainment is free. They offer a wide variety of hand rolled and machine rolled Cuban cigars that are well priced. They accept credit card. One thing to know, especially travelling to Cuba is their culture is beautiful. They may not exactly have it made like Canada, but they make due and do it with pride. My family has made numerous life long friends with the resort staff. I definitely recommend this resort to all Canadians who wish to experience Cuba at its finest.

Is getting worse every day poor food .. is not what you see definitely.. pool side really good drinks and hot dogs , poor hamburgers. Went I talk to the general manager to put a complaint he took every word you said and put it against you, so don't waisted your time!!! They don't care .. roaches are all over the buffet and after complaining couple times they the fumigation people finally comes. The show at night is good dancers are great and the day care people are so helpful and the kids love them!

Our family just got home from a great time at the Starfish Resort in Cayo Santa Maria. We couldn't have asked for a better resort. The staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds were clean and the beach was beautiful. I would highly recommend this resort if you have kids. The staff at the kids club are very welcoming and our daughter had a great time. There is always some activity going on at this place. We had great rooms/beds and the house keeper was fantastic. It was also nice to have a bank onsite as well as a mini store. One thing I would like to add is be sure to take the golf cart express to the market. which is about a 5 minute ride in the golf cart. The streets are cobblestone and there are many shops, it felt like a different little village yet it was only minutes away. We will go back to this resort again.

First time traveler to Cuba. Great beach, clear blue waters, no shells, rocks or vegetation. Rooms nice and clean. Food was great. Staff was great. Only 4 stars because of 1. beds.. hard mattresses (maybe 20 yrs old ?).. 2. No Water for about 16hrs this apparently affected all the resorts on Cayo Santa Maria hot water and water pressure is lacking considering the millions in revenue every week, improving the infrastructure should have been done long ago. The extra travel time due to the causeway is only a mild irritant, can add up to 3 hrs extra time when on an excursion.

Amazing beach, white sand, No sea shells, No weeds, clear blue waters.. One of the nicest beaches I've seen. The place is filled with friendly staff and great service. I hear people complain about how bad the food is, which is false, unless you're a really picky eater. You'll always find something you want to eat, everyday there's always a huge variety of items to pick from.

We went to Starfish Resort for the end of last year and we had a blast. We made so many friends, not even funny. The staff is outgoing, we became really good friends with Medalin and Rafael. We highly recommend this resort for everyone.
