Very nice old Hotel with beautiful view over Ocean right at famous Malecon and Paseo.
I wish it was properly maintained.
For example The lobby washrooms don't even have toilet seats!

Most lifts were out of service and we had to use those for the employees. The room are nice but carpet and bedsheets felt wet all the time. The AC seemed so old and dirty that we kept it off. Also, the water in the swimming pool was salty and dirty. Many flaws for a hotel that rank.

The staff was very nice and warm. They do the best with what they have. This is, one of those places that is distant from the Cuban people due to its price and history. A unique history. It is liked going back in time. All in all, their system is different, the ride here from wherever will show you that. The filet mignon was great the first time I had it, not as good the second time. The channels I watched on tv were better than what I see at home.

This place gave me a dirty room, then when they provided me with a different room, the lock was completely missing from the door! I gave them a 3rd chance but the 3rd room was again dirty!! Front desk personnel had poor customer service skills. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Rooms with old but well keep the interior. Stylish entrance and foyer. An enjoyable stay in all.
