My second visit here. I come for the location and the free shuttle bus into downtown Havana.
I was surprised to find our room had been remodelled and was very clean. No face clothes, reading lights, shower caps or clocks in the room. The hotel did run out of clean towels. But so did other hotels.
The shower kept flooding so the bathroom was a mess.
The housekeeping staff were very friendly and pleasant.
The buffet was quite good, and always fresh, but if any dishes ran out they were not replenished. Plan your meals accordingly. Constantly running out clean silverware, cups, dishes.. and the dining room is understaffed.
If you want good service be sure to tip or bring gifts. Gifts are always appreciated. $$$$ store, calculators, pens, reading glasses etc.
Excellent Spanish red wine & ice cream. The mixed drinks are very cheap
& are in small plastic cups, so bring a mug.
We loved the Cuban entertainment at the buffet. Tips expected as this is their livelihood.
The Dining room was a very good experience, lovely meal. We gave our waiter gifts for his wife and daughter. (very much appreciated). His service was excellent.
I wanted a tea later in the evening but was told no, because there were no clean cups and I could not get one from the dining room. Not allowed
The pool area was dirty, loud and in ill repair. Great beach and free catamaran sailing with the staff.
The front desk staff are very efficient, patient and courteous.

This place is definitely not a 4 star hotel by North American standards and it is definitely over-priced. I rate it at 2 star. It seemed dark and dinghy, food was boring, same food every day. Prices have almost doubled in 3-4 years. Do you self a favor and check out other hotels.
Lots of old guys stay there to get the prostitutes in the nearby town.

Nice staff , clean lobbies , good pool area and great beach area .. for someone who has a family or not into the spring break scene .. this is a good area .. 3 meals a day buffet , food is ok decent selection

Sunwing moved me from another resort that was having issues. Live music nightly, good beach, big rooms, comfy beds, clean. 24 hour bar. Free shuttle to Havana. Decent food. All inclusive.

Good for the price. The service personnel is kind and courteous. The bonus is the hotel has a free shuttle bus to Havana every day.

I liked it. The pool was clean. Good entertainment. Nice beach. The room is okay. Its not a 5 star hotel but you will enjoy your self. It is all inclusive.

This hotel has no Cuban pride. Every meal at the Atlantico was horrible, even the meals in the hotels only "upscale" restaurant. Most of the staff was rude. The pool was tiny, cold and always dirty. The bar tenders never smiled. And lastly, the beach steps from the building anytime I put a foot in the water they would blow the whistle to come in 😒.. I went to a beautiful island with wonderful blue waters and I wasn't allowed to swim.

The beach is behind the Atlantico. The last stop on the hop / on and off bus; closest beach to Havana. It was absolutely beautiful. I could only imagine what the other beaches look like.

My review of this hotel is overall negative.
My room was in very bad condition, curtains, bed covers, pillows and towels were very old giving the room a depressing atmosphere. There was a permanent leak at the sink, the bathtub was covered with paint and looked dirty even after room service. On the fourth day of my stay, the faucet handle broke causing a huge leak on the bathtub. The hotel concierge came soon after I reported it and fixed it in less than one hour. However, he didn't clean the area after his work.
The swimming pool wasn't clean and the water was so cold that almost nobody dare to use it..
There were flies in the restaurant,; napkins and cutlery were scarce. Food assortment was limited and quality no so good.
The only positive review I have for this hotel is it's people. They were very friendly and helpful but unfortunately this is not sufficient to make my stay enjoyable. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

This was my worst experience in Cuba. Last year it's was very good for the price, BUT this year, rooms are dirty and not well maintenant
The restaurant it was like 1 Start, very poor. And con Fidel death
it was death in hotel. Now the shuttle bus for Habana only one 9:30hrs
and back from Habana at 5:00 pm.The worst hotel this year and coming years
