TikiVillas is indeed located in a beautiful area with a gorgeous view of the ocean and the rainforest. However, it is missing a key ingredient: the Tica soul! From all the places we stayed on our 12 day trip, this was the one place that the employees looked unhappy and the place lacked the warm touch of Costa Rica. Goes to show that its not the place but the people that make a difference. This is not a critique on the staff but on the management. Also, the restaurant was not very good. Terrible breakfast!
Muy buen lugar para disfrutar
Located in Uvita, just north of Marino Ballena National Park, TikiVillas Rainforest Lodge is a
Shangri-La of rainforest relaxation. The Balinese-style eco lodge is comprised of nine spacious
villas, each constructed on a mountainside overlooking the Pacific Ocean, nearly 400 feet above
sea level. The collective property occupies 13 acres of rainforest reserve and tropical gardens,
with hiking trails leading to a variety of rainforest experiences, as well as secluded beaches.
The peaceful rainforest oasis is defined by impeccable levels of comfort and service at every
turn. The resort’s villas were built with harmonious living in mind, highlighted by their open-air
design and large covered balconies that invite the embrace of their lush surroundings. Indulgence
is a keyword that characterizes every TikiVillas stay, which includes the lavish pampering of the
Rainforest Spa and its offering of treatments including body wraps, scrubs, aromatherapy and
Reiki healing arts. The resort is also home to the exquisite cuisine of Jungle Blue Restaurant,
featuring Costa Rican, Latin American, European and Asian dishes, infused with local fare.
Great place. Me and my wife stayed here for our honeymoon.. Pablo took care of us and was always giving us ideas of thing to go see or do. Recommend staying here.. food was amazing!
We stayed 3 nights in mid-December 2013. The customer service was fantastic, the lodgings were remote and peaceful. The dinner and drinks were 5 star each night (they were just starting up their dinner service). The only negative for us was not having a rental car, we were stuck using expensive taxis to get to town. Uvita is not very big and didn't have much to offer. A definite piece of paradise, and we plan on going back (with a rental car). There were howler monkeys and toucans and hawks.
It felt like were treated like A-list stars on our own little island. We also enjoyed chatting with the other guests staying there. No children and 10 adults max on the property. A perfect recipe for serenity.
