Vitalis and the Sunset Hotel staff went above and beyond for our comfort. When it's clear skies, the view from the porch is great and more than justifies the name. The rooms are modest but clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay.

The staff was very nice and the hotel was cute. I really liked the breakfast as well. A great value! My only complaint is that the rooms are a bit small and the bathroom not extremely well ventilated.

Little bit noisy, you can understand if somebody is talking in front of your room. Clean, light and comfortable room with amazing view. Owner was very friendly and helpful and he prepared great breakfast.

we arrived and was greeted by the super friendly host. He immediately asked what our upcoming plans were and promptly drew out a map for us with key points around town. There was a couple rooms available when we arrived and he gave us the option of either which was very nice. there is an AMAZING view of the sunset from the front porch of the rooms. The host provided funny conversation, a smile, and great breakfast of fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, coffee/tea and fresh bread from the bakery which he got fresh each day. He was accomidating for any request we had (more TP / extra towels / glasses to drink from). the room does not include a mini fridge, or AC, or a fan which wouldve been greatly appreciated. We could hear our neighbors in the next room over, the other reviews about thin walls are very true but we had a very peacful/ quiet stay otherwise. we spent several nights drinking rum and soaking up the sunsets with the whole front area to ourselves. We also really enjoyed the resident cat "Lucy", shes such a fun, sweet kitty who will make you feel right at home. Lots of great bird watching and we saw a bunch of agouti on the premises as well. overal fantastic stay!
Room Tip: Triple room has its own personal balcony but not the best view. The best views are the rooms closest

The sunset hotel was great. 3 beds in a room, enough for 5 to sleep. Free WiFi, breakfast time was flexible. Breakfast consist of fresh bread, eggs, tea, milk, coffee, fruit. The owner is friendly and a good cook. Everything is very clean. He has trails behind his house which are great to walk (1 hour hike). We saw birds and about 8 coeytee (sp?) which are like monkey raccoons. There is no TV in the room, but with a smart phone, you're already covered. It's close to town and food.
