Great vibe, nature, breakfast, pool. Recommended! They have surf instructor and board rental. You can come alone, with friends or family.

Really cool place. We showed up without a room booked and where lucky enough to get the top of a house. It was quite a bit more expensive then i wanted but worth it to splurge for a few days. Our room had a mini fridge which was awesome, a TV, a few DVDs and a great shower. No kitchen, but if had gotten the lower half of the house we would have.
It's a laid back feel that is owned by what appears to be a retired corporate American. Surf rentals are reasonable, lounge area has pool and ping-pong, and the pool is great.
You can rent a board and walk about 300m to the beach and be surfing. Also if you want to walk into town, it's about 10 mins at mundane pace.
If we ever return to CR to surf we would stay here again.response / report this review -

This is a great place to stay! I´ve been staying in this place for the last 3 years every time I´m in the area. It´s a great place to camp, with all the comfort one could ask for (electricity, kitchen, bathrooms, security). This was my first year at a villa, and it was just awesome, the room was beautiful. The pool is a great plus, chilling after spending all day at the beach is a must! The food at the restaurant has great taste and portions are the right size (all for a fair price). 100% will recommend this place

This place is awesome, It is very mellow and calm, pool is awsome, the owner and all his workers are great! I've gone there this year and last year and surfed some pretty fun waves, very consistent and the town in front of playa carmen is full of fun activities to do. Highly recommend! I'mdefiantly coming back again for my third year!
