I have traveled all over the world, and by fare this one of the frenliest place I have visit, I would recommend this place to my friends and relatives, is centrally located near, restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets. Also they have laundry facilities. THANK YOU Solange

The family that runs it is fine. Nice people. But I was told if I wanted to rent the gallo one room for a month I would have to pay before seeing it because it wasn't ready. I've been in hostels all over the world and I'm no stranger to roughing it, so I figured how bad could it be? Within the first few nights I developed some respiratory issues and by the 4th I couldn't even sleep. Could have something to do with the 20 years worth of crap caked on the a/c unit. Tried sleeping without the a/c but this place is located at the bottom of a sort of pit and is significantly hotter than all the rest of MA. Within the week I had what sounded like a mix between severe allergies (I don't have allergies) and emphysema. I had to leave and asked for at least a partial refund. She gave me an e-mail for the owner (that doesn't work) and when I asked if we could call him and get this settled she did and basically the answer was you're SOL. I was told i may get some money back if i go to the hospital and get tested for allergies and it's something in the room. So that's 300 dollars i'll never see again. Lots of other good priced hostels in the area! Walk across the damn street and avoid getting jerked around at this place.
