Started out a little rocky. Though it is posted as having 2 bars and private access to the beach it does not have either. The pool was not working when we got there either which was an added disappointment. The new manager however was very apologetic and very accommodating. I would go back and try again.

Lots of monkeys about and good location. A little pricey thouhh and the grounds need some TLC. Especially the pool areas and bathrooms

Gorgeous view, great chill place. We love the Mango Moon and the people who hang out there. It's a casual place with cute, friendly dogs, groovy decor, and tons of charm. Excellent view and sunset. One of the best views around. Cute little pool that also overlooks the view. Owners are very helpful and care about each guest. It is a small place, so it never gets overly crowded, even when it's full. Feels like you're hanging out with friends. Lots of animal sightings here too. It's down the road on the way to Playa Beisanz, so this is a plus--youre walkable to one of the best little beaches in the area. The way down to the beach is doable, but back up is pretty steep, so be prepared for a hike or arrange for a cab to pick you up if you'd rather (there won't be many just driving by, so you might have to call one or ask for one in advance. The front desk is helpful and will assist). I'd recommend walking it if you're in relatively decent shape though. Mango Moon is in a great location. A hidden gem.

The view was extraordinary. At sunset, you wish time to stop. The staff were very kind and helped me with a good zip-lining trip. The location is fine. You can go the beach, grocery or restaurants by walk.

The room was old. Yet they offered a decent price.

This is a small somewhat charming hotel with a beautiful view. No complaints about the room or the hired help. The owner however is an amateur at running hotels, an idot.
There was loud music coming from the upstairs rooms at 4:45 am on a Sunday morning. I asked this young couple who were dry humping outside our room on the patio to please find the source of the noise and have the a-hole culprit turn it down. The male portion of the dry humper duo said it was the owner and got the jackass to turn it down.
It is such a shame that this charming little hotel doesn't have the leadership it deserves. It feels and sounds more like a noisy youth hostel. They have a big screen TV on the second floor next to the bar. If you enjoy listening to a loud action movie with shooting and car crashes instead of birds and monkeys, you've come to the right place. We watched a beautiful sunset while listening to (unfortunately) a cheap Hollywood shoot-em-up. The rotwhieler is friendly but has a loud bark.
    Que lastema.

An amazing time! The hotel, the owner and staff were like family. They were there to help with suggestions arrange day trips. They set my wife and me up with a guide for a rain forest/canopy hime. It could not have been better. The sunsets are unbelievable. The monkeys pass right through the property twice a day. So cool! With so many cool places to see in the world this is the first place we will repeat. The fantastic experience at this hotel only adds to this decision.

My Fiance and I stayed here last summer and it was amazing. The people that work at the hotel are wonderful and we really enjoyed getting to know them. They will help you with whatever you need. The food at the hotel was excellent. We had dinner one night and breakfast every morning. Waking up every morning to that view was wonderful. And drinking beers and talking with the guys at the bar was a great way to end the day. There is so much wildlife right there at the hotel, monkeys which you will get tired of seeing, birds, lizards, etc. The walk to the beach is difficult but very cool and a great workout. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Manuel Antonio. We stayed in the Kinkajou room which was perfect for us. I felt very at home while staying there. I even left the room unlocked most of the time though I wouldn't recommend doing that. My Fiance and I actually ended up getting engaged here.
