Mike and his staff are wonderful. Great location as very near the shops and needs along the top of the hill before the park. Clean, private & nice! The pool is great , the bar and food is excellent. Relax and enjoy!

The room was ok, bed not comfortable at all. But the beautiful gardens and wonderful food at the restaurant made up for it. If you could update the rooms, I would come back and stay.

La Colina is very nice and has comfortable beds for Costa Rica standards. Our room was up more than 100 stairs with no elevators The first trip with luggage is a bit exhausting, but after that it was fine. The shower was great! Lots of hot water, a small fridge in our room. No cooking in the room. Free breakfast which was very nice.

Food is excellent. Staff is very helpful. If your expecting the Hilton in CR go to the Hilton. This hotel is family run by wonderful people. Always ready to help with guiding you in the right direction. The one major drawback to this hotel is the steps to get to your rooms. Lots of steps, not handicap friendly.

Arrived in a downpour and there is a fair distance of uncovered steps and path to the restaurant. In the restaurant there were many leaks. Watched the woman working the bar making fruit drinks with unwashed hands. The pizza was good though.

Great service from all of the staff. Very friendly and helpful people. Great rates and clean rooms. Restaurant and drinks were delicious with reasonable prices.

The restaurant is literally right next to the hotel pool. Loud kids were splashing 15 feet from our table. It looks like it's just a bar, so we weren't even sure if we were there, at first. The server was VERY rude. She brought out a lamp, so we could read the menus in the dark. We ordered water and calimari, to start. She brought the water and came to get our order, but we hadn't decided yet. She took my menu and said, "That's fine. You can order something else if you're still hungry after the calimari." After 20 minutes, the calimari still had not come, so we left. 100% do not recommend.

Hidden from the main road you will find a small jungle paradise with the best pizzas in town! Lovely hosts and romantic pool-side dining with jungle view. Definitely recommend La Colina!!

Not all ocean view room have actually ocean view. It rained when we stayed and a lot of water came into our room. There are cats in the facilities.

Rooms are clean and heating works well. The restaurant is also good. We ordered a pizza and it was good and not expensive. The pool area is a good place to relax.

The hotel is not expensive but is necessary ask the staff, in the moment of the negotiation, if the local tax are included. We negotiated a price but the owner only included the local tax when we gone to pay, increasing the price in 13%.

Despite this problem, the hotel is excellent place for family and friend vacation.
